17May23: Finally! Greenies are here!

Thank goodness! Andy can…

…rest now that he’s had his Greenies!

On the other hand…

…it’s time to swat those irritating flies!

Much easier done if Andy’s not sitting on the swatter.

=(^+^)=

The final day before the Greenies arrive was hell on earth, well, a bit tedious for all the kitty pleadings for a treat.

Pat-pat-pat “Gimme Greenies!”

There are none, kitty boy. NONE! They’ll be here this afternoon…or later. Damn! Give me a break!

=(^+^)=

Just as expected, I got a double up on the auto-ship since I had to order Andy’s prescription KD chicken pâté wet food and Royal Canin Persian dry food earlier than the regular auto-ship.

Yes, I called them to reset the auto ship and yes they still reshipped at the old regular time, well before I needed – or wanted to pay over $100 again so soon – for more of these items I no longer needed so soon.

I give up on Chewy’s help people. I’ll cancel the auto-ship I think or threaten to if they don’t continue to mess things up.

Unfortunately, if I cancel the auto-ship, they will have to contact Andy’s veterinarian each time they ship the KD chicken pâté wet food, a prescription.

  1. I never had auto-ship with Chewy and I was able to get prescription food more than once. Just have your vet put refills on the script.

  2. This is why I canceled our cat food subscription with Chewy. Some items were late, like two to three weeks late, and I ended up driving in the middle of the pandemic to the specialty pet store to buy food, which is what online shopping was supposed to prevent. I also decided Chewy’s overlords never had to deal with a hungry kitty who in desperation would rake her claws on the furniture or the quilt on my bed because she knows that’ll get me out of my chair fast. Andy is probably too well behaved to pull this on his dad, but my girl would also wake me in the middle of the night, howling for her favorite tuna and crab bits wet food. She already had kibble in her bowl and an expensive substitute in the wet food plate, but Sunny was adamant: no substitutions! I wished I could have put her on the phone with customer service, but even the human had trouble communicating with them about the late delivery. Stay strong, Andy and Doug!

    • Andy just drives me nuts pat-pat-patting my arm and making sad kitty sounds. He won’t accept substitutes, either.

  3. Don’t you realize Andy IS the Flyswatter? You don’t need a normal one.
So glad the Greenies finally arrived.
I don’t use auto ship or Chewy much anymore. Amazon works for us.

    • I find Amazon Prime more reliable, too. As for Andy’s hunting skills, flies only rarely have to fear his fatal blows

    • Thanks, Leah! Auto-ship always sounds like a good idea till I try to get Andy and his consumption coordinated..
