Yesterday’s post wouldn’t publish when scheduled for no reason I could figure out. At a bit after three o’clock, I ended up copying the whole post, pasting it on a blank page, and, miracle of miracles, the miserable WordPress let it publish!
That’s nothing compared to the miserable platform we use for teaching online which ATE a question on a 20-question test, leaving poor confused students with 19 questions.

After the first outset of panic, I managed to convince the students that by missing one question, they gain an extra point. It’s not true, mathematically, but they believed me.

More like nonexistent math skills, sadly.
Yes, as someone who used statistical process control methods in my work, I was astounded how unfamiliar my bosses were with probability theory, for example, something they needed to understand, if on a rudimentary level, to deal with standard deviations and how that required them to view statistics I prepared for them to evaluate plant process data.
And that was years ago, I suppose. You’d be astonished at the math ignorance level of today’s young people.
Ignorance in many areas, for example civics.
That I don’t even want to mention!

I have the same problem with scheduled posts, John. As for the Greenies going bad, Andy makes a point of not letting them get old. LOL!

Late spring is speeding into early summer over here, and all the work that goes with it, too. We’ve had some hot days in the upper 80s and 90s here. Today is not supposed to get over 79.
We have a day or two toward that range predicted for this coming week, though most days will b seasonl.
No kidding about those glitches. I suspect things get so big and complicated sometimes that errors are inevitable.

Four AM! You live in luxury! Andy hits the “feed-the-kitty” button at 12:30 AM here! Of course, I know two kitties working on waking you up does make further sleep impossible. I sometimes can ignore Andy long enough to get a little rest.
I usually have breakfast in bed before I get up ( a turn over and a roll with a snore ❗️ )
