I regard this as a sad development, one I’ll mention to his veterinarian this Friday morning when we go, again, for a follow-up visit.

Most cats seem to not like a lot of handling when meds or grooming is involved. Sometimes they will tolerate it form their human, but not the vet. I feel for both you and Andy.
I remember an episode from the old “Lost In Space” show, “The Keeper”, with Michael Rennie as The Keeper (same one who played Klaatu in the original The Day the Earth Stood Still.) He had some kind of power staff through which he could summon any creature, including the Robinson’s children Will and Penny. Doug needs a power staff to call Andy!
Bless him, he’s been through a lot… so have you for that matter. Fingers crossed. 🐱👤
I think the issue will settle itself if the vet visits lesson.
I am sure he will get over it soon.
It is always stressful for pet and “owner” -we can understand why they do not like the vet, but they don’t understand why the ordeal has to happen.
A special treat? He already has Greenies and Nip. How about something else he really likes but doesn’t get much?
Andy could just be moody … Our kitties can be that way, frequent surprising us …
It would help if you could convince him that the veterinarian appointments are for his good.
I can understand Lovely Andy! Love, Hugs, for you both, nia
hugs to you two… we hope for the best…
Hope he’s just having a grumpy day.
Sad, indeed
Awww, Doug! Andy is a cat, after all. There are days where he’ll do things to piss you off, and you’ll have no idea what you did to deserve it. I don’t suppose he acts that way at dinnertime, does he? A friend who’s into astrology told me this is supposed to be a wild week, so it’s best to ‘go with the flow.’ Hopefully Andy will ‘find his groove again!’ (You can tell I’ve been hanging out with old hippies all weekend.)
