25Mar25: trust…

Ever since…
…all of Andy’s…
…veterinarian appointments…
…he tends not to trust me as much.
It all started here, by the door. As soon as I showed up to try to get photos for today’s post, he shot out for my bedroom, one place he knows he can go, and I can’t physically catch him.

I regard this as a sad development, one I’ll mention to his veterinarian this Friday morning when we go, again, for a follow-up visit.

=(^+^)=

Andy did stop by a bit later when I wasn’t trying to photograph him. Not easy figuring g his moods out some days.
Well, back to where this drama started.

  1. Most cats seem to not like a lot of handling when meds or grooming is involved. Sometimes they will tolerate it form their human, but not the vet. I feel for both you and Andy.

I remember an episode from the old “Lost In Space” show, “The Keeper”, with Michael Rennie as The Keeper (same one who played Klaatu in the original The Day the Earth Stood Still.) He had some kind of power staff through which he could summon any creature, including the Robinson’s children Will and Penny. Doug needs a power staff to call Andy!

  2. It is always stressful for pet and “owner” -we can understand why they do not like the vet, but they don’t understand why the ordeal has to happen.

  3. Awww, Doug! Andy is a cat, after all. There are days where he’ll do things to piss you off, and you’ll have no idea what you did to deserve it. I don’t suppose he acts that way at dinnertime, does he? A friend who’s into astrology told me this is supposed to be a wild week, so it’s best to ‘go with the flow.’ Hopefully Andy will ‘find his groove again!’ (You can tell I’ve been hanging out with old hippies all weekend.)
