Persian kitties have strange faces. Straight on, they look owlish. From the side, you’d think you’d seen a bat.

Thanks to Liz (maggie0019) and Chris (contrafactual), my blog increased from 750 or so followers to 777 while I was sick and recovering during my recent illness. Since I came back, the followership’s increased again to 789.
In past, I would thank people individually for following. I’ve been so caught up in getting back to normal at home and dealing with computer problems (password issues that kept me off WordPress, for example) that I’ve failed to do the appreciative thing, namely thank each and every new person to “follow” weggieboy’s blog. If you haven’t had a personal thank you from me for following this blog, please consider this your “thank you”!
And Andy’s in the bathroom sink enjoying a little skritching from me. That’s why they are called “Purr-sian” cats
How about those goofy whiskers?! Dougy’s face, gone wild.
You know well Andy’s enthusiasm for bird watching out windows. Sometimes he hits a bonanza, especially outside the back window.
Andy hopped onto the “observation post” (computer desk shelf ).
What’s up outside today?!
“Say what!?”
Andy can’t believe his ears!
He hears a whole flock of birdies flying from the fir tree.
Faster than you can blink, Andy’s at the window!
“Tweet! Tweet! Tweet!”
More birds flying from the fir tree!
Andy can’t believe how exciting the window is today!
Deep attention….Andy ponders how he might get at those birdies!
“Rats!” Andy comes up against the glass again.
“What is this barrier? Why can’t I go through the window?”
If you can’t tell, someone’s tail is twitching at top speed here!
Yes, it was a great day for kitties at the window! Andy was well pleased.
Dougy doesn’t like having his photo taken, mostly because of the flash. That’s why I have to sneak around to get his photo.
Here’s one I got this morning that seems to sum up how he feels about the whole process….!
“My lawyer will contact you…soon!”
> purr! purr! <
Andy loves to be scritched under his chin and on his ears.
Yesterday was a very busy one for the boys, so they were especially happy to finally get home. Home, they could eat a snack, drink a little water, do those important kitty things they couldn’t do while being pampered on spa day.
We played a little wand toy but the main thing the boys wanted to do was let their tails down and give themselves a proper kitty tongue bath.
Whatever issue they had between them earlier — they were chasing each other and acting very territorial over trivial bits of “turf…”– no longer was a concern.
Each went his own way, occasionally stopping by his brother to sniff him: “Is that you brother?! You smell different….!”
…and we had a little ‘nip! Er…nap! Well, both!
Poor Andy! He and Dougy had a disagreement of some sort today and Andy spent most of the day avoiding his brother or hiding up high.
Andy spent a lot of the day on top of my dresser.
Dougy was on the prowl…!
I hope the boys work it out by tomorrow morning because they have an appointment with their groomer and they have a reputation for being good boys….
If you stop by to visit me on Facebook, this is the heading you see:
The thumbnail photo is of Dougy and the larger one in the background is Andy. You’d kind of expect this from me, eh?!
Facebook regularly features goofy things that amuse, I suppose, but really fall short in many respects. I mean, there are people who “play” these things and think there is some legitimacy to the results.
Here’s one that uses your profile picture for entertainment purposes. Since my profile picture is of Dougy (not a junior…!), the outcome is seriously goofy. For example, these two looks at Dougy:
I can pretty much guarantee what kind of kitty Dougy is, but he’s no Einstein….!
Here’s the best one, though, and I was pleased others got into the spirit of things and added an appropriate and more credible look at Dougy “100 years ago”:
Cats sleep a lot. Sometimes I have to wake mine up to remind them it’s time for kitty supper. Andy was especially sleepy today, conked out in the dryer, as is his recent afternoon ritual.
“…but I’m sleeping!”
Time for supper, Andy. You better get up or Dougy will eat it all.
Andy had to think about that: “Sleep or eat…?”
A tough decision for poor little Andy!
Which will it be? Eat or sleep? Sleep or eat?
He’s only a little kitty! Leave him alone!
It’s been several minutes now, and Andy’s still sleeping in the dryer. On the other hand, Dougy found a hidey hole and decided he needed a snooze, too. I guess I’ll wait to put the kitty food out.
