25Nov24: Medicating Andy’s a snap… sometimes!

Hiding in the shadow of the toilet…

…Andy doesn’t ever realize he’s a sitting duck!

The medicine applicators await…

…the more or less compliant Andy. Wrapping him in the towel works wonders that way!

No reason to hide now, but Andy returned to the toilet because I close the door when I first come in. That prevents a chase through the apartment. It has happened!

=(^+^)=

It’s in the shadows where this scenario takes place, yet this post should give you a little idea of how I medicate Andy.

Unbelievably, when he is over by the toilet, all I have to do is walk over there, put my hands under his chest and stomach, and walk back with him to a stool where I dry off after a shower.

Holding Andy up in the air with one hand behind his front legs, I wrap the little darling in the towel with the other. He tolerates this amazingly well.

Andy usually twists and turns his head when I give him the liquid blood pressure medicine with the syringe, but the application of the hyperthyroidism cream on the ear flap goes much easier with the applicator tube.
