“Bo…oops!” I almost poked Andy in the eye!“What’s on your mind, Andrew?”He wandered over to the door. It was past time for our friend, Bret, to come over, and Andy was waiting for him to show up.I called Bret. I’d forgotten this week we weren’t getting together for coffee and rolls. “Don’t fret, kitty! He’s ok but won’t be coming over today.”
It was worse before I got the whiteboard. I had slips of papers with appointment information stacked and stuffed under the lamp on the end table back in the bad old days.
Andy’s a little sad, but understands.

All of the confusion surrounding an appointment and what I had to go through to straighten it out the past few days threw me off. I knew Bret was taking his mother to an appointment, forgot it was this week, not next. In my defense, the photo shows the whiteboard I use to keep on track of Andy and my appointments. We have too many regular appointments I need to track, and it’s too easy to mess up on informal plans not on the board!

Andy had alternative plans himself!
