Photographing black cats in a dark place is a challenge. It is possible to get passable images with a little Photoshop manipulation or by closing your eyes and imagining. LOL!
Andy choses to “hide” behind the printer after he’s had his breakfast, chased his brother, perhaps played a little with a BirBug toy, but definitely taken a few minutes to take a kitty bath.
That, of course, makes taking his photo nearly impossible because the hidey hole he chose is in the dark: One does what one can!
Drop the color, add contrast, close your eyes, and hope it resembles a kittycat!
Not the best photo possible. Well, “best possible”, if not the most desirable!
Try again.
Ugh! Flash is nice when photographing a black cat…if you like that laser-eye look of light reflecting off the back of their eyes. This one was without flash but with tons of Photoshopping.
Enough for today! My next cat will be named “Snowball”!
A little reflection off the eyes, a bit more contrast…. Hey! You settle for what you can get when you photograph black cats in the dark!
