17Jun25: day’s end…

Andy’s day is over.
He finished his kitty bath…
…and settled down into…
…a kitty nap.

I had a doctor’s  appointment with a cardiologist today. It was a preliminary look at what he needs to evaluate first before setting a course of treatment, if needed.

I was very impressed with him. Personable, thorough, aware of the implications of my initial medical issue, WG/GPA, and how everything else after that relates back to that, I am comfortable with this doctor. I’ve had doctors that see one symptom and make big changes to my treatment and medications!

    • Yes, those doctors are oblivious to the role the patient plays in the health care team. I’ve learned to be very blunt about my health care when talking with doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitions, and nurses. Shy doesn’t get it!

  1. Glad your new doctor is indeed a keeper ! As we get older there is less leeway for any differences in our treatment.

    • Exactly! I feel less tolerant if doctors who don’t listen since I believe in being part of the health care team.

    • I have heard other patients with this doctor school my impression of him, and they all are happy they go to him.
