“Dear Adrian…”

Grrrr! I sent the following message to Adrian Smith, Nebraska 3rd district Congressman:

WHO CARES, ADRIAN? WHO CARES WHO'S TO BLAME! JUST STOP THE MADNESS!

WHO CARES, ADRIAN? WHO CARES WHO’S TO BLAME! JUST STOP THE MADNESS!

This is non-negotiable.

Yeah, yeah. I just posted a “voice of reason” post about hurtful words and hitting the other guy over the head to get one’s way. This is the hypocrisy season, and I’m celebrating. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Let me enlighten you: My history with Smith is mixed. This is the fifth time I’ve contacted his office, the first time to suggest he and his colleagues of both parties work for the good of the country, not some party ideology. (Gad! I see I am “a [sic] uncommitted” voter. Haste makes waste.)

Another time, I “signed” one of those petitions you see from time to time asking you to tell your Congressman/Senator/President to do this or that. I got an instant replay back, which, at least, gave his position.

The flag of anarchy. It is starting to look like the new flag flying over the USA.

The flag of anarchy. It is starting to look like the new flag flying over the USA.

All other times, he hasn’t sent anything back. I took that to mean he is an arrogant twit who doesn’t think he is responsible to all of his constituents, especially ones like me, an old white guy who votes EVERY TIME, the Republican dream constituent, so I’ve been assured. Used to be, Adrian. Used to be.

I’ll keep you posted. Will Adrian respond back, or do I have to remind him he is a weak Congressman I intend to vanquish with a ballot? Remember: I vote EVERY TIME!

    • I’ve had to thoughts on Mr. Smith: change back to Republican so I can vote against him in the primary (there rarely is a Democrat running, but sometimes a Republican alternative shows up- Andrew James Thomas might make a great write in! Yes, OUR Andy!), or send a nice donation to the Democratic Congressional Committee in Adrian Smith’s name. Yup! Or should I say WOOF!

    • He won’t escape the wrath of the voter! I do believe in taking that step because there are too many people who could, should, but won’t vote. Unfortunately, some should be better informed when they do mark a ballot. After the constituents of the anarchists in Congress see what they’ve done to the country, perhaps they’ll have the decency to unwrap the flag from their shoulders, pray God and country forgive them, then, as we say, go to hell!
