I had a cup of eggnog that Andy had to sniff on his way to..

…his current best place to sleep, the recliner footrest.
=(^+^)=
“No thanks, Doug!” I was relieved that Andy didn’t want to try the eggnog, which is a gift from a friend and which is one made with bourbon. Yeah, it is pretty tasty in small amounts and is especially good since the bourbon cuts that gacky-sweetness that non-alcoholic eggnog has.

WordPress always has little surprises for users and producers of blogs. The current one I’m experiencing is I schedule prepared posts for just after midnight my time, go to sleep, get up around 2 AM or 3, expecting the blog to be posted and getting early reads. Early readers, then, start the comments going. Comments, as any blogger will verify, are the “payment” we get for what we do. I look for my posted blog posts on my smartphone, then, to copy the link to repost that day’s version on Facebook and…I see it’s labeled that it was scheduled but failed to post! That’s happened three times in the past week. What’s up?!
I note that I manually post to Facebook because, in another mystery of how WordPress works or doesn’t, a long time ago, my new posts stopped posting automatically to Facebook! I gave up trying to figure it out, thinking, “Hey, they charge me $300 a year for the privilege of maintaining my high-volume photo-heavy blog on their servers, so I deserve to be screwed around with! Muahahahaha!”
That is frustrating. I have had a lot of trouble with WordPress lately.
Yes, and I hate it when it puts an obstacle in the way of someone trying to do something as simple as check that they liked a post to more complex issues.
The WP gremlins had a bit too much of your eggnog, Doug, and got plastered.
Danged if they aren’t, Dolly!
LOL 😻
I remember eggnog! Haven’t had any in years because of the milk and sugar. Andy looks content!
I find the jet fuel added to this version what makes all that richness tolerable. I’m not too big on alcoholic drinks, though blended margaritas with Mexican meals in a local Mexican restaurant I occasionally go to are kind of like a lime slushy, and I do like those!
I think WP has a team dedicated to screw ups
Seems that way, doesn’t it? While I can appreciate the complicity of the systems that support WP, I get a bit “snippy” when I pay $300 a year for it and it fails to function consistently the way I expect it to.
Quite
Gacky… I understand that. Eggnog isn’t delicious without a bit of sucre…
The perfect balance becomes a quest for an eggnog that everyone can enjoy! This particular eggnog, while agreeable, is strong and best in small amounts. I never have more than about half a glass every few days or more till the bottle’s empty. I may still have some in late March for my birthday! LOL!
I’d have passed on the eggnog too, Andy! Cute snoozy picture of Andy and his marvel of a tail. WordPress has been really glitchy lately.
WP really has been!
I’d never heard the word “gacky” before but it perfectly describes what you mean! And good boy Andy for not drinking the eggnog. My childhood cat once ate the brandy butter at Christmas, which caused much drama.
Yes, that story was a good one! It seems Christmas brings out the alcohol-related stories. My Scottish grandmother once didn’t have rum for Christmas rum ball candies, so she substitute whisky. The only ones who liked them were my dog and the two nephews, who would have been under 5, I think, at the time.
