Then I stopped when I noticed how Andy’s smoke Persian coat really shows up in daylight! Man, he’s pretty! (By then, Andy couldn’t care less about what I was doing. So it goes!)

He looks so much prettier the longer his coat gets. If he’d let me brush him, he could avoid matting better and I could save on grooming costs with his groomer.

Ohhh, he’s a Smoke Persian! I thought he was a black one who just had a surprise ombré shimmer! That certainly explains his fifty shades of grey.
“Smoke Persian” is how his registration papers described him. He registers as black in some light, then what you see in the photos in others. I like your description, though!
