Eating Greenies. Very happy!Something is brewing…Uh oh! It’s Andy’s nenesis.Sorry, Andy, but I finally figured out where your Auntie Kathy put it.Surely that’s not The Comb!. (I thought it was well hidden….)Yep! Stripping loose hair from your body once again.A brief confrontation. Doug brushed Andy, Andy RAWR’ed the comb. I found this among my papers when I was shredding those I didn’t need to save. Yes, that’s US Army Spec5 Thomas in 1971 or whenever Reforger III was held. You can’t see it well, but my superMunich-made Arriflex camera is in the photo. Loved that camera! My silver-colored camera case is viewable on the right. I probably was cleaning camera parts, loading a film roll into the Mickey Mouse film holder and mounting it onto the top of the camera, and preparing my paperwork so I was ready to get names, ranks, units, hometown, and other information our bosses in Washington required. Mess up a shot or change your mind on how to approach one, you just turned your camera on and waved your hand in front of tbe lens. That way, they knew you knew the shot was bad or unacceptable for some reason. Best of all, it assured they gave you a good review – I was really good at mopic work! – because then they knew you knew they knew you knew they knew, etc., etc., etc.
This mysterious comment was written on the back of the photo. 50+ years later, it means nothing to me now.

There’s ⁹a bit of chill in the air today. For the first time in a long tone, I decided a mug of stout coffee was what I needed. While in dialysis today, I had a phone call asking if I’d be willing to change my 12 o’clock appointment tomorrow for a follow-up with my breast cancer surgeon to 9:30. Absolutely! There’s weather coming in. Perhaps that’s why.

Ohhh dearest Andy, we certainly do understand about the brush… yes, your nemesis… but please know your loving Daddy is only wanting to make you feel better… the brushing and removal of mats will leave you feeling a new fellow! Doug, thanks for sharing the black and white photo… and we all remember those days gone by… Looks as tho the bump on your forehead is now gone..?? Hoping so.
Yes, that is why I leave it up all times. When people visit, they get the cst trapped in recliner warning. That’s a good message for us to pass on here!
good morning … we wish you a good start into the last march days… we love to watch old photos, although we feel a little sad about the time what runs like crazy…
Yes,me, too. I have had a great time in my 78 years, yet I feel sad I won’t be able to do some things that would have been lots of fun, line a riverboat trip on the rivers of Europe, going to Indonesia to meet the children of my old penpal, presumed dead these days. Or very old for an Indonesian!

Yes, the bump is gone finally. It would be wonderful to be able to explain the brush to Andy.

It is good to see you and Andy! That old photo from your Army days and the comment on the back were interesting, too. 🙂
It is cooler and cloudy here today, 37 degrees this morning. Had a stout mug of tea here this morning.
Good job of combing Andy, Doug. I was sent to Germany in August, 1971, got out of the Army in March of 1972.
I was there from July 1970 till the last day of November 1972. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if our paths crossed and we did realize it?
Yes, indeed, Doug. I worked in the ER at the hospital in Bad Kreuznach.
Fascinating historic photo
Way back when I was a shy beauty. LOL!
Doug
Uh oh, shedding season approaches/arrives … Always interesting to find those really old photos …
I love old photos and their mysteries!
Doug
Be careful ! I saw on the news yesterday of a kitty getting trapped in a recliner !
