It is really that we pussycats have conditioned our humans to think that we view them as our parents. But really we pussycats are the mature ones that are always having to babysit our humans. Tee hee hee.
Thanks for determining what cat people suspected! You know people give you looks when you talk about these things~! LOL! Now we cat people have your study to cite. You can see from the comments that it is a hot topic among cat people.
Indeed. After many years of not studying cats, there are a handful of good labs taking up the work, and their findings confirm what we (cat servants) have known for a long time. It’s nice to see it proved in well-designed studies.
Maybe it’s because I have Persian kitties (they are sweet natured, mild cats), I get that sense of their feelings about me.. A tabby I had before them also gave me that sense in a different way.

You kitties definitely control the world!

Yes, that is one pretty kitty!
Thanks for reposting this, Doug. Much appreciated. You’ve got two beautiful cats!
The kitty boys appreciate the appreciation! Anyway, that was an interesting blog, I thought, though I think anyone with pets “gets it”.

I agree!
That’s so interesting, Doug! I never knew cats could feel this way about us!
