The classic cinematic formula for telling stories is: Nr. 1 – a long shot of the scene to establish the who, what, where, possibly the why, and how of the story.

Next, Nr. 2: you zoom in to focus on the protagonist’s (in)action.

Last of all, Nr. 3: there’s the closeup shot. From there, mixing up the shots for the most interesting story makes the movie!
=(^+^)=
The same as other rules, the three basic cinematic shots needn’t be in this order if a different order is more compelling or a tight closeup, for example, creates suspense or a mystery to be solved.
“Next, Nr. 2: you zoom in to focus on the protagonist’s (in)action.” I see Andy is happily busy sawing logs, there, Doug. 🙂
The sequel is longer but just about as obscure!
Andy Noir? Great shots, Doug.
Yes, there is a touch of noir there. Of course, Andrew is a chat noir!
Hehehe!
You are a movie director, Doug!
That’s quite an interesting production.
I suspect it is a bit French New Wave in its realism and slightly noir undertones.
Where’s Mr De Mille when Andy needs him?
Not moving So well these days, Mr. DeMille! LOL! Anyway, I doubt I could afford one of his mega-productions. I am curious how he’d handle makeup on Andy, though, or if he’d make him wear cute outfits….
Cute outfits would be the only possibility for your Andy
He’d protest! Cute or not, Andy is a serious, kind of stuffy kitty when it comes to personality.
Interesting! I suppose when it comes to filming cats, someone needs to yell, “Lights! Camera! Inaction!”
Inaction, yep! 😂
That’s classic cat alright, John!
I just woke up, got ten hours! Maybe I’m part cat. 😻😂😂
