18Nov24: new harvest Darjeeling with an old mug…

Lightly toasted French bread covered in cream cheese slathered with strawberry-rhubarb jam; a blueberry yogurt; a mandarin orange fruit cup; and a cup of new harvest Darjeeling tea. It was a messy but delicious breakfast!

This mug was not one of my better efforts because the original photo was taken before I had editing capabilities to deal with poor light. Here’s Andy, apprehensive and on the recliner footrest.

Andy’s concerned because there’s Dougy taking over the recliner seat and the whole chair if he notices Andy!

=(^+^)=

To this day, Andy hops over the recliner seat rather than stopping on it! The spirit of the late Dougy is strong.

=(^+^)=

In these older photos, you see Andy is happy to rest on the top of the recliner and…

…on the footrest. This is a two-cat recliner as far as Andy continues to believe. No humans are allowed to use it unless they know kitties. I always warn people Andy will come over to take over the recliner, though he will share it if they scrunch over and let him have the bigger part of it. LOL!

  1. It can take many years before the spirit of the departed kitty gives the remaining ones some space. No one would use “Abby’s chair” for several years after she departed. Finally, someone got brave…. 🙂

I like the kitty mug! 🙂

    • Dougy died14 July 2020. Andy just recently briefly tried out Dougy’s recliner seat. He hasn’t repeated it.

The mugs with my kitty photo on them are fun! I like some netter than others because some photos reproduce better than others. I think the photo at the top of my blogs, a screen print from a favorite video called “Grass”, would look cool on a mug.

    • Yes, thoughI have other mugs with Dougy that are better photos, including one of him looking like a little Chinese Emperor in his box! Andy’s in better photos on other mugs, too. I break enough mugs that I periodically order new ones with new photos.
