Andy is very interested in having this blade of grass!
His first attempt is thwarted by his whiskers.
Try and try again, but those dang whiskers get in the way!
I fold the blade in two, and Andy has a bit better success. Eventually, he manages to chew off part of the blade. It isn’t easy having a Persian’s short muzzle. The trick is getting the blade between his back teeth. Get it there, and he can chew some blade off. Even then, as you can see in the photo, you have to get it under the whiskers.
Major cutie stole my heart!
Andy is as sweet a kitty boy as the photos suggest!
What a cutey.
He’s a rascal, so the cute factor saves his tail when he misbehaves!
My Kessy likes to have her grass blades fed to her, as she and Merlin have no teeth left to get some themselves. Merlin? Still is trying to be independent ..
It helps bond with one’s kitties, and they enjoy the grass! Have you ever posted photos of your kitties? I don’t recall any.
You were right, I corrected that now for the last blog post which featured him:

What am I thinking! Of course, you’ve posted photos of your kitties! I went back to remind myself that. They are beautiful little guys!
Andy excels in persistence, endurance, and charm.
He is all that!
And more!
This so reminded me of my Sisters Phooey, albeit he was white, he had the same problems. He was a gorgeously friendly thing. Much missed as you understand. Cheers, Doug,
What a cute name! Yes, we don’t forget out fur friends when they pass. They are family no less than the hooligan teenage brat son or the daughter who whines about everything is unfair. LOL!
wouldn’t it be great is we were to meet when we join them. A dream, but a good one, Doug.
I agree! I’d be pleased to meet the other pets again.
Locely thought,
Maybe you could trim those whiskers? Kidding!
Never! Of course, I understand you weren’t serious. Occasionally, they get trimmed accidentally by the groomer. (I hope accidentally!)
i was kidding of course, I think the whiskers play a part in the cat’s senses. Never cut them.
I don’t know if it hurts so much as it messes up their sensitivity to where they are in space.
Andy is sweet! I especially like the photo of both eyes focused on the blade of grass on his nose!
That’s a favorite here, too! I took several in a row to try to get something that was reasonably in focus, and this was one of the happy accidents.
Oh my, Catorze once got one stuck up his nose which wasn’t far off that size!
Wow! I can’t imagine how that could happen or how miserable that must have been for your poor kitty!
Here is the tragic tale, in full (although not that tragic as I managed to get it out): https://louiscatorze.com/2017/07/02/saint-jerome-et-le-lion/
Whew!
You are both very patient
It takes some effort, for sure. He will try on his own and have some success, but I think he prefers my assistance.
