Today would have been my late brother Dick’s 84th birthday. Andy and the late Dougy love, love, loved my brother. In Dick’s memory, I am posting these videos featuring Dick and my kitties.
The first one includes a word – “axxxxxx” – which YouTube deems the End of Civilization as We Know It, the Debaucher of Youth, the Raper of Virgins of All Sexes, the End of Times. If you can’t handle that word – we all have one of them, even cute puppies and kittens – then you may want to skip this video for the next one, which Makes the Angels Sing, Praises Ye Almighty Gods, Makes a Joyful Noise, Amen!, and is Just a Heck (not the other word) of a Lot of Fun if You Enjoy Watching Kitty Cats being Pranked, with No Naughty Words Ever.

(That’s my brother’s arm and legs in the third video. I wouldn’t lie about that! The second and third videos are more entertaining anyway. The first one shows the late Dougy exploring the dinner table, with my brother petting him. The naughty word axxxxx is spoken out loud twice or three times and is in the video title.

The video above is a more suitable video for those readers who don’t want to hear or see naughty words. Better yet, it features Dick at his funniest best playing a joke on Andy! Who does like pranking his or her cat!?
“Uncle” Dick was a big favorite with the kitty brothers. Every year till illness prevented it, he’d visit for five weeks in Summer. I looked forward to his visits and the kitty boys did, too! They’d greet Dick at the door when he arrived and spent lots of time hanging out with him. After viewing the third video, can you even wonder why?!
Somehow I missed this post! I have bookmarked the first “End of Civilization” video for later. 🙂 That is great music along with the third kitty video.

So you and your Brother were only a few days apart? Did you ever combine your Birthdays? I am not talking about years..just the actual day, itself.
Yes, mine is the 22nd of March and his was the next day. We always had our own birthdays, but the seven year difference in our ages made those two considerably different. I always wanted pineapple upside down cake instead of traditional birthday cake. I don’t recall Dick’s preference, though I want to say it was pumpkin pie, which he really liked. My mother indulged our quirky preferences, which was nice of her!

Yes. Even though cats like affection and show it to you at times, they still like to keep distance between themselves and others.
Indeed! Andy does let me hold him a bit longer the older he gets, but the look of terror in his eyes lets me know he isn’t happy, even if he’s purring! The purrs are my clue it’s time to let him down.
