18Apr24: a smart move….

Andy had a few Greenies treats, then conked out on the lapboard.

When I interrupted his sleep to rub his ears – can’t resist that! – Andy moved over to the kitty lounger.

Tired kitty boy! You can see it on his face.

In little time, Andy continued his nap, out of my reach.

Good play, Andrew!

=(^+^)=

I had an appointment for an echogram after dialysis the last time. For that reason, I was delighted  – not! – to get out of dialysis and have the first bleed-out in so long that I can’t remember when the last one happened.

There I was: bloody jacket, bloody shirt, bloody pants, bloody me! Great! It was the last thing I needed on the day I had an appointment.

I returned to the dialysis room to get the bleed-out cared for. After the nurses stopped bleeding and bandaged the offending access on my fistula, I drove home, changed clothes, and began the process of taking the blood out of my bloody clothes. Fortunately, I’ve learned how to do this with plain cold water and Tide detergent. After a good soak in soapy water, I run them through the wash cycle in my washing machine.

The happy side of this is I had the bleed-out at the hospital, not on the road driving home or at home! Also, I made it to my appointment with plenty of time to sign in and wait a lot shorter time than I would have without the bleed-out.
