I usually can hold Andy still long enough to put the hyperthyroidism medicine in his ear. I have to be stealthy, though, to get to the point I can hold him down.

Good job, Doug! Do what’s best for Andy.
If only he appreciated the benefit he gets…..
Good job, Doug! I am lucky with Wynken she will hold still, for liquids at least. Pills require more effort on my part. She is on liquid antibiotics right now, and she will open her mouth for me to squirt it in from the side.
That’s exactly what happens with Andy. I found I can minimize this from happening if I squirter the medicine in small amounts and pause between squirms so he can swallow it.
You were able to take photos of him with his medication? That would absolutely not happen in this household.
Andy resists till you have him wrapped in a towel or are just holding him. The exception is when the medication is liquid, then I have a little resistance.
You are an excellent cat dad, Doug!
Most times….
👌 Ya done good, Doug!
It is a good brain stimulus!
Well done
Thanks!
At least you don’t have to put it in his mouth ! But not fun in either case, darn it!
Yes, the ear medicine is easily administered. Sometimes, I don’t even have to pick him up or wrap him in the towel. Putting a firm hand on him while I rub the medicine in his ear, then, is all it takes!
I love the first shot pf Andy with his sleepy left eye on you. Hope it went well, Doug.
Thanks, Gerry!
👍🏻
Medicine times with kitties can be exciting!
Amen!
