Andy and I got up…

Greenies…
…an old musical movie…
…and a very strong cup of coffee.

08Jun25: a little this, a little that…

Boop!
Andy took a short rest…
…but was amenable to a chin “scritch”…
…before…
…a head rub.
Wow! That built an appetite…
…for a back rub and “scritch.”
Oh yeah! Bring it on!

I’ve been binge watching “Celebrity Antiques Road Trip” this week.

I thought I’d watched the most recent seasons of this BBC program, but realized new ones have been added since I last watched any.

I

One clue I was watching more recent ones came when one of the participants referred to “the late beloved queen.” She died in September of 2022.

Of course, I was more surprised when I noticed the copyright years 2023-2024 on another season! I was unaware the year old series was available here.

07Jun25: …as long as the treats are safe….

Andy had a quick Greenies treat.
He tried to nap next…
…but the treats…
…were on his mind.
Finally! “If I sleep on top of them, they will be there when I wake up!”

06Jun25: a surprise outside…

Andy sensed my elation!
Remember the heritage yellow climbing rose bush that got chopped out by the yard nazis?
Here, in the original place, a healthy, stealthy, reborn heritage yellow climbing rose sprouts from the wreckage!
Andy knows the resurrected rose is a mood changer for Doug.
Plus…with that, there’s the happy row of wee ones sprouting off the same root stock!
Nature shall prevail over the destruction of her best efforts. Andy agrees with that! In the meantime, mum’s the word.
I can count on Andy. Meow! Good kitty.

05Jun25: A blog post ready?

Andy’s concerned.
I guess he had too many things to get done yesterday…
…because Doug’s barely put a post together for today.
Good thing people wonder when Doug doesn’t put something up daily!

That’s pretty much it: More things to get done than I could finish. What I did get done, I had put off doing too long. The “to do” list is more manageable now.

Well done, my kitty! Well done! Mission accomplished. Now, time to take a nap or a kitty bath.

03Jun25: Andy stepped into medicine time….

Andy wasn’t catchable earlier.
When he came by my chair, though, all I had to do was reach down and wrap him in the towel.
Ok! Medicine down his throat (mostly), so it’s time to release him.
He manages without my help.
Just aim him toward a solid surface, and…

…he’s free!

01Jun25: bottle cap…

Andy didn’t know I had a surprise for him!
Bottle caps are fun for Andy.
He had to verify what it was, of course.
“Bottle cap!”
Rawr! He knocked it off the ottoman, soccer/ football style with his front paws.
It’s down there, Andy.
It’s in the dark, but once Andy finds it or I pick it up and toss it to him, he’ll bat it around till he bats it under or behind something. Kitty fun!
