20Jun25: that creepy thing cats do…

You know…
…just sitting there, staring at you!

19Jun25: blueberry loaf breakfast…

Waiting for our neighbor to come over.
An American robin stopped by.
I never seem to take smiling selfies, but I was happy it was Wednesday – yesterday to you – and my neighbor Bret was coming over to help eat the blueberry loaves with me.
The blueberry loaves are freshly baked and waiting, too!
Bret here, Andy had to come around to be sociable!
We were talking about something serious when I took this.
Andy, in the meantime, was scratching an itch.
Whew! Three of these was at least one more than I needed, but I eventually finished them all.
While Bret and I finished our coffee and blueberry loaves…
…Andy worked on…
…his famous…
… shedded kitty hair clump! See it at the bottom of the bottom of the photo? That’s a small one.  I think of this as shedding season, but the reality is, shedding season is 12 months a year. I can’t believe Andy isn’t bald!

18Jun25: low energy…

Andy and I needed a rest so this post is a lot thinner than lately.
Still sleeping.
He got up, stretched, then went back to sleep.
I had to order a new lampshade to replace this one. Good news: I killed the fly when I swatted it on this lampshade. That was the most exciting thing to happen yesterday afternoon. Andy missed the hunt!

=(>×<)=

(Andy snooze a bit before he left the room.)

My blood phosphorus level is high and the complication is virtually every food I like is high in phosphorus. Too much or too little phosphorus in your blood and your heart can stop. Needless to say, I need to review the list of high phosphorus foods and adjust my eating habits. Ugh!

=(^+^)=

When Andy came back, he posed nicely till I got this photo of him in full magnificence!
Thanks, Andy!

17Jun25: day’s end…

Andy’s day is over.
He finished his kitty bath…
…and settled down into…
…a kitty nap.

=(^+^)=

I had a doctor’s  appointment with a cardiologist today. It was a preliminary look at what he needs to evaluate first before setting a course of treatment, if needed.

I was very impressed with him. Personable, thorough, aware of the implications of my initial medical issue, WG/GPA, and how everything else after that relates back to that, I am comfortable with this doctor. I’ve had doctors that see one symptom and make big changes to my treatment and medications!

16Jun25: a wee quiet time…

Andy is minding his own business.
No way I can ignore him now!
Andy is upset with me now.
“I was thinking about exciting kitty stuff and you interrupted me!”
“Purr! Purr! Maybe it is OK anyway!”
Yes, everything turned out well. No kitties were upset too much in making this post.

15Jun25: “Leave the kitty alone!”

Andy came around.
I couldn’t…
…resist…
…”scritching”…
…my…
…”floofy”…
…kitty!
Then, Andy let me know he was NOT in the mood for attention by placing his paw on my hand.
This is what he was there for.

14Jun25: medicine time had a twist…

After several attempts to corral Andy into the north bathroom…
…only to have him escape into the south bedroom, potentially a harder place to catch him…
…this is where he was in the south bathroom!
When I moved toward him, he hid behind the toilet.
Of course, because he couldn’t see me, he didn’t realize his tail end was exposed to me.
I snatched him from his toilet refuge…
…and wrapped him up to give him his medicine. He was not amused. Nor was I. I have to take a risky few steps from my front room to get to a walker I keep in the south bedroom for situations like this or to do housekeeping. I use a walking stick for those few steps, aware of the risk of a fall!
Medicine delivered, I let Andy down.
I’d closed the door when I entered the south bathroom to catch Andy, blocking his escape.

=(>+<)=

I’m glad my apartment isn’t bigger or giving Andy more hiding places!

13Jun25: bugged…

Andy sees it…
…on the ceiling.
His interest is instantaneous…
…and obsessive.
When…
…it moves to a new spot…
…Andy follows it.
It stops moving…
…Andy is confused, but…
…it moves again!
Meow!
Rawr!
Well, it wins the moment, but…
…Andy will be there when it gets closer. Meow! Meow! Off to do other important kitty business for now. Andy will be bugged till he gets a shot at that intruder!

12Jun25: too late…

Andy saw me coming with my smartphone in hand.
So much for a photo shoot for today’s post.

=(^+^)=

Eighty-eight years ago, on June 12th, 1937, my mother and father got married.

“First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage,” used to be the convention.

They had four children, of which I am the last born.

=(^+^)=

After finishing my sad little post, Andy returned.

11Jun25: whiskers…

A Greenies bribe opened up the opportunity to…
…photograph…
Andy’s…
…curiously strange-to- photgraph whiskers.
The left side doesn’t show except in certain light.
Andy has had enough of this!

=(^+^)=

Andy got a short taste of his favorite time of year when a miller moth showed up. He chased it till it got behind furniture. Perhaps it will “play” with Andy again. Andy would love, love, love that!

Seriously!
