11Jul25: nothing ready…

“What happened, Doug?”
“Sleeping?”
“People expect cute photos of me…”
“…every day!”
“They enjoy trying to figure out where me face in in those weird positions I get into.”
“Or just seeing me in my photos.”

=(^+^)=

Nothing serious. I just thought I had a post ready for today! Oops!

10Jul25: Andy meets the hand, again…

Minding his business.
“La! La! La!”
Lounging on the recliner footrest.
Boop!
“Oh no! The hand!”
“Well, maybe it’s OK….”
Lounging again on the recliner footrest. The hand’s through bugging Andy for now!

09Jul25: cat dreams…

What do cats dream about?
I sometimes watch sleeping Andy and wonder.
Floating? Flying? Hunting? Dreaming about sleeping?
One will never know. Sleep, sweet kitty…and have your dreams.
Zzzzz…

08Jul25: back to routine…

Andy’s resumed full control of the recliner.
Something’s of kitty interest on the lampshade.
Really interesting…
…though I don’t see it.
So, now…
…Andy takes some time to groom.
After a brief stop for a drink, Andy returns…
…to stare at me! Boy,this is a really dull return to routine!
Zzzzz….

07Jul25: Andy’s mixed day…

Yeah! ‘Nip is in greater supply now that the ‘nip pots’s in decent sunlight in the kitchen window!
Andy savors this treat.
Of course, he plays with it, too.
The ‘nip scent on Doug’s fingers is nearly as good as the ‘nip that left it.
Doug “scritches” Amdy’s chest with the scented hand. Maybe Andy’ll have ‘nip scent there afterwards.
Later.
Andy is less than gracious when he finds Kathy in his recliner!
He makes exaggerated, rude, and peevish “adjustments” to underscore how he feels about sharing the recliner.
Kathy holds her place!
Andy makes the best of it, but isn’t totally happy hanging over the edge this much.
Kathy left the recliner, but Andy stays in the same awkward position. Trying to make Doug feel sorry for him because he had to share? Sometimes, he is more tolerant of people being in the recliner. Other times, he is not.

=(^+^)=

Andy can share the recliner and be nice about it. This was another time. Kathy even moved her feet over to give the little sweetheart a bit more room.

06Jul25: the locket…

Andy hopped onto the table.
Kathy and I were sitting there, and Andy was in a social mood.
Kathy tossed this little metal object toward him to see what he’d do.
Oh yeah!
He put on a show.
AFC – Ajax,  Amsterdam would want this little football player!
Andy is shy about his football prowess!
But he also…
…had to try his paw at it again.
Tired.
Time for his midday…
Kitty nap.

=(^+^)=

The metal object looked liked a locket, but we both couldn’t figure out how to open it right away.
When we did, it turned out to be…
Great Grandfather Cameron…
…and Great Grandmother Cameron!
I have this better photo of them. Maybe you noticed it in photos in older posts. I always liked it because it always made me think my great-grandfather had just been told by my great-grandmother to stop fooling around so the photographer could take the photo. LOL! Regardless, they look like a very proper Victorian couple.

05Jul25: Andy puts his paw down…”Mine!”

Andy saw her coming and hopped up on the recliner footrest.
“Doesn’t she know this chair is mine, Doug?” Andy asked me in his kitty way.
“Nooooo!” Andy was about to get “kitty pleasing” from someone who has “kitty pleasing” experience!
Purr! Purr!
He’s caught off guard. “Why is she doing this when I know she wants to take my recliner away?”
Purr!
“That’s enough! Purr! Purr!”
Andy held out for occupancy of the recliner. “Mine!”

=(^+^)=

My sister just walked into the front room, intending to head to the kitchen. Andy saw her, and instantly hopped up onto “his” recliner in case Kathy thought she could sit there! That is the beginning of this story you see today.

04Jul25: Andy’s celebration…

‘Nip!
Rawr!
Good ‘nip!

03JUL25: Wednesday was busy…

With everything cleaned and sometimes moved around, Andy had a busy day trying to figure out the new pathways.
So did I!
So, having the Wednesday get morning coffee and doughnuts (this time)  helped.
Bret got to meet Kathy and Shannon.
Andy wandered around…
…stopping…
… here…
…to…
…figure out what happened that’s new in this corner.
Even a kitty boy needs to stop for lunch!

02Jul25: Andy’s had a busy day…

I had to put the footrest on the recliner up for Andy. It was down for company.
Later, he hopped onto the kitchen chair, where he got a little loving.
Of course, the best time for Andy was when my sister, Kathy, did the thing he love, love, loves best!
Purr! Purr! Purr!
My sister is a kitty person, too, so knows what pleases kitties.
Never too much of it!
My niece is a true Thomas. I know that because she hates having her photo taken, too! LOL!
Really, Andrew, let my sister have a break.
Time for his cat nap.
Posing.
Andy stopped by…
…to greet Kathy.

=(^+^)=

Time for a nap.

=(^+^)=

Kathy and Shannon have straightened out, dusted, organized, and vacuumed all the time they have been here. I am very pleased that they’ve helped make my apartment a healthier place for Andy and me to live.
