30Jun25: up, over, and back again…

Andy had an itch to scratch.
Afterward…
…he…
…took…
…off on important kitty business.
Returning a short time later…
…it was…
…time for a nap!
Zzzz….

=(^+^)=

My sister and niece arrived yesterday. My niece is leaving to visit her father and stepmother in South Dakota and my sister is staying here till my niece picks her up next Sunday.

=(^+^)=

My legs are always in different stages of healing from Andy scratching them to get my attention.
Usually…
…he just wants a little loving!

29Jun25: Alarmed!

Andy tries to get my attention.
Something is bugging him!
He keeps looking toward the lamp.
He’s fixated…
…on the lamp on the end table…
…where he sees the bug has returned and is on the lampshade.

=(^+^)=

Oddly enough, Andy didn’t try to get the bug. I wonder if it has some anti-cat defense Andy discovered when he put his paw on it the other day, and that is why it was released.

28Jun25: “What’s under your paw, Andy?”

I saw Andy pop something under his paw.
“What’s under your paw, Andy!”
Andy revealed nothing…

…then he slowly…
…raised his paw…
…and released…
…this bug. Ew!

27Jun25: nipped…

Andy isn’t moving…
…much!
He barely pays attention to me…
…when…
…I take his photos.
Nipped!
Later, Andy was around for a little bonding. All in the day of a kitty boy!

26Jun25: yesterday was exhausting…

Andy had the apartment to himself.
Not for as long as he expected, though.
I managed to get to my appointment an hour early.
That made me happy because they went ahead and did two catscans early, too.
For that reason, I was able to get back home at noon instead of an anticipated 2 pm or so!
Even though the imaging section of the hospital was at the end of a maze, things went relatively smoothly for a first time at this hospital.
Andy knew differently since Doug shared how he saw the Fairmont Boulevard sign but still had to take two swing-a-rounds to finally get onto this road to the hospital and there were  several screwups once on the hospital grounds. We’ll know better next time!

25Jun25: busy…

I have a long day of driving. I’ve that doctor’s appointment in Rapid City to have a catscan. You may recall that’s a five hour round trip for me that leaves me knackered. I need to rest up beforehand to try to minimize the impact that drive usually causes me so this post will be super short.
I suppose Andy will sleep most of the time I’m gone.

24Jun25: cat trap…

The cat.
He seems aware…
…of the trap.
Well, we tried!
Andy left without giving in to the cat trap.
Or did he? Andy came back to stare at me awhile, then do a kitty bath.

He also got his medicine, the point of the trap. I snapped him off the ottoman and gave it to him!

23Jun25: Andy hid most of the day.

Andy hid most of the day.
I looked and looked for him!
Then, later, about three in the afternoon…
…he showed up!
Lucky Andy! I had his medicine available. I caught him on the ottoman, held him on his back without wrapping him in a towel, and put the medicine into his mouth.

He started to run away when I let him down on the ottoman, then he stopped on the recliner, and looked at me for a moment.

He came back to the end table when he realized the thing he was running from – his medicine! – he’d just taken.

Smart kitty!

22Jun25: small stuff…

Though my smartphone charger cord interests Andy…
…he has a more  important thing to do just now.
Zzzz…
You know…
…sleep.

=(^+^)=

.

I  got the new lampshade.

It replaces the fly war lampshade.

I also got new magnets for my doctor appointment reminder whiteboard.

21Jun25: Summertime…

It’s 2:04 am. Andy has the right idea, but I need to be thinking about organizing myself to go to dialysis.
Don’t you hate it when the pack of graham crackers looks like this when you open it? It’s still edible, but maybe you want to do the breaking or just have a whole cracker fresh from the package.
Andy couldn’t be bothered with my silly issues. But broken crackers, Andy! I didn’t pay for that!
