Andy greets me at the door when I return from dialysis. What a sweet way to come home!
Hunh?!
Yes, Andy knows when I return it is “Feed The Kitty Time”! (He was sniffing ‘nip, so I put the dish on the table to remind him he also wanted kitty food. Then I put the dish on the floor.)
=(^+^)=
Saki, Andy’s kitty girl cousin who lives in Seattle, demonstrates yet another sleeping position that proves kitties have no bones.
Has Andy ever met his cousin?
No, she lives in Seattle and Andy is in the Western Panhandle of Nebraska. (In truth, they aren’t genetically related.)
you mentioned she lives in Settle but I was just wondering If they had ever met.
It would be nice if they could, maybe. You know cats and territoriality! Andy is used to being a singleton now. I guess they’d be OK in a neutral place, like outside. Anyway, traveling by plane with a pet (how my sister would have to to it) becomes more problematic the closer one gets to where I live since the planes get smaller and smaller and often stop flying here at a town 57u miles away. Incidentally, do you remember this post about my friend Deborah who took her three kitties to Paris, France?

In the meantime, send her a toy of Andy’s to her and have her send you something of her cat to you. I bet both would be fascinated with the new scent!
That would work, I bet. Maybe a blanket or larger, soft object would do better.
Read this to Andy and see if he’s interested?

It is interesting and intriguing, yet the biggest issue isn’t Andy but me. I am disabled and need both hands to be stable on the walker.
Ah…In that case do the same thing but attach Andy to a tether that is attached to a pole so he can run around just out front with you sitting in a chair sipping a pop!
Still a problem. My best bet would be to get a cattio or something like that. Then I have the issue of flea/tick/etc. treatments, which Andy resists or he would have been allowed some outside time years ago.
yes,I forgot one of the reasons why you don’t allow them out because of the fleas/ticks situation.
Bring fresh flowers in and I bet Andy would love to smell the new scent!
What I do do is bring grass I pick from a part of the lawn that doesn’t get mowed or treated with poisons. He likes his grass!!
Great idea! Mix a bit of his cat nip in!
Good idea! Andy would approve.
If Andy starts saying “Dave’s not here”…..cut back on the nip!
LOL!
Go for it Andy. The food looks very good, almost like a broth.
A boneless cat is really one word…..feline!

Persians need some help with food since their snouts are short. I add a little water to the chicken pate and microwave it for a short time to give him a better shot at eating it. It is almost a slurry when I’m done preparing it.
wavez two ewe saki; ewe iz one gorgeouz gal….andy; N joy that nip and we hope dadz feelin all rite 🙂 ♥
All’s well here, and Saki is a really pretty kitty girl, alright!
Andy looks adorable today and what a cute picture of Saki too!
Just like peo9ple, kitties can have good or bad hair days. LOL!
It is nice to have a greeter at the door when one comes home!
Saki is a beautiful kitty.
It is my favorite time of day when I have to leaver for some reason. Yes, Saki is very pretty!
Andy’s coat is looking very summer-y.
The difference in how his coat looks in different light is accentuated the longer it gets. He has an appointment in June for a kitty spa day, and he’ll get a haircut that shows his color patterns really graphically.
ter siig ip we re lwys hugry O) the mm knows that rom her teenager time O)))))
Andy has a hollow leg, too! He loves his food.
That is super-cute!
It is my favorite time! He greets me with a meow.
He is such a lovely boy.
Thanks! He’s looking really pretty these days since his coat’s long.
