Maybe Dougy’s ghost is visiting and wants Andy to scoot over so he can sit in the recliner, too.
Interestingly enough, I leave the front door open and put the little red chair in a place where Andy can watch the scene outside with ease. I discovered the answer to the mystery outside that door: a really cute tuxedo kitty comes to visit Andy and sits outside the door staring at him. Andy doesn’t know what to make of it, I’m sure, because there used to be a really intimidating tuxedo kitty – Taco! – who did the same. Andy’s reaction to this kitty is the same as to that kitty – curious but extremely cautious!
