Andy didn’t get the memo…

…telling him the Class of 1966 monthly luncheon was scheduled for noontime.

Waiting for lunch, a smartphone mystery got worked on.

Doug tried to smile for the photo….

Menus were studied.

Doug ordered a bacon cheeseburger and potato salad. A big mug of **Fat Tire satisfied his thirst!

Lots of chatter till everyone had his or her meal delivered.

That cheeseburger and potato salad were very tasty!

Noontime, last Friday of the month, except when that is a holiday or other reason to reschedule or cancel – that’s when the Class of 1966 luncheon group gets together. It was a bit thin for July, but we had a great time anyway! Afterwards, we drove over to Donna’s for ice cream and cookies. On a hot day, that hit the mark! Gordie, Terry, and Donna are to thanks for paying for the meals, the drinks, and the dessert.
**”Overall, the flavor is a toasty malt with gentle sweetness and a flash of fresh hop bitterness. Fat Tire is made with Willamette, Goldings and Target hops. It has 18.5 IBUs and 5.2 percent ABV. The malts in Fat Tire include Pale, C-80, Munich and Victory.”

Best wishes from a card carrying member of the Class of 67. How cool that you and your classmates still get together. I haven’t seen my cohort in years-not sure I’d recognize them. 😊
We actually have a couple Class of 1967 people who come, both because the are either married to one of my classmates or because they are a caregiver of one of my classmates. At our age, that one year difference is meaningless, and we enjoy their company just the same as if they graduated with us.
That’s very cool!
I think so, too! I had different classes – PE, band, speech, journalism – that blended several classes together and we know many people as friends outside our own class.
I am so glad you had a good time, Doug.
It’s a small but fun group!
Sounds terrific.
It has been a blessing, Dolly.
I am sure.
Having lunch out once a month with the group sounds good!
It is good for us old folks to stay involved with others, especially people like me who can be quite content not socializing. I’m one of those people who hates going places but has a great time once I get there.
Fat Tire is a good choice!
Definitely!
That’s cool that your class does that.
It’s been a fun way to keep in touch.
Looks like a fun time was had by all- except Andy. 🙂
He would hide if that many people were where he was.
Reunions are so cool & and Andy seemed to take it in stride. Also that sammich could almost be dancing but more bacon pleeezzzee.
It was just the right amount of bacon for me. I’m a bit salt sensitive.
An impressive and enjoyable event
Even with just a handful of us this time, it was lots of fun just the same!
Your lunch looked so delicious, Doug! A perfect meal. Any is so regal in your first photo!
His Highness always looks cute or regal! It was a great hamburger. The Gathering Place has lots of very tasty things on its menu, so many I really need to expand beyond bacon cheeseburgers, but don’t.
Delicious!
Sounds like a really good time delicious food and an interesting beverage!
Yes!!
That it is!. The best part is someone else makes the meals and there’s less cleanup.
