…so I reached down, picked him up, and flopped him on my lap, tummy side up. He hates that a lot!
I hold him in this position longer than he likes, but not as long as I want before I gently lift him over to the ottoman for a Greenies treat.
He never learns!
Oh, cats don’t learn what we want them to learn but they usually learn plenty of the stuff we don’t want.
Very funny “tummy-up” shot!
That tummy up shot shows just how stressing he finds that position.

I don’t know any cat that ever learned anything I tried to teach them. 🙂
I feel your pain! That’s my experience, period. I tried for the nine years Dougy was alive to break his furniture scratching habit. His legacy is a house full of Dougy-destroyed firniture.
Doug
I believe that.
Andy does look a tad miffed!
He definitely was – and I have scratches on my legs to prove it!
Doug
Love his expression when he’s on his back. Lol
It’s his upset one…
Doug
Andy loves you very much, Doug, and also loves his Greenies! 🙂
It is conditional !
Doug
There are days like that.
I like keeping him amused and confused.
Doug
But he’s sooo cute!
He is!
Doug
Love your angry cat!
He gets his fuel sometimes!
Doug
He does look forlorn
And I don’t let him forget it!
