Of course he was happy to see Holly!Oh yeah! Holly got his purr roaring with some favorite massage and “scritch” techniques! “The tail! The tail!” Purr! Purr! Then Holly got to business, weighing him.He lost some weight, which is a concern for the next time as medication doses have been changed between now and then. Andy patiently waited on the scale but was a bit unhappy for the long wait on the examination table……or was he upset with me because I put him in the carrier an hour ahead of schedule! It was because of the snow and bad roads, Andy……and we got put ahead on the schedule once we got there. Perhaps it was because of the bad roads and cancelations? Don’t know, just am appreciative!Of course, with both Holly and me “scritching” and rubbing his head and neck till Dr.Olejnik could come in, Andy’s mood improved. The veterinarian finally came in and reported on Andy.I showed her that concerning photo of Andy with dilated eyes where the pupils were different sizes. He had lower pressure in that right eye, which had elevated pressure back in December. A thorough examination of both eyes showed they are free of a problem. Andy’s next appointment is March 3rd. Though his results were good this time, Dr. Olejnik recommends an echogram because of his heart murmur. While I love Andy and would do anything for him, I have to consider the chaos in Washington and how it impacts my security before I spend large sums on him…or me.

I love the first photo with the big hug!
On the other topic, I got a letter from Medicare stating that there will be no changes in coverage this year. Did you get one?
Yes. I hope that holds out. Lying is the standard for the administration. Anyway, yes, that’s a delightful one. Holly is a delightful person in person, too!
I bet you are glad you are in Australia! As I recall, your husband was in the Australian diplomatic corps, right? I bet he has some interesting thoughts on the mess in the US.
Sounds like a fairly good report overall; and what a nice vet. I hear you on the uncertainties about funding! Always thought that at least, social security would always be here …
Yes, me, too. I had a long visit with my financial advisor yesterday. I feel about 20% better about things. Andy’s report helped ease some stress, too.

She does look it, yes.
Andy seems to appreciate Holly. I hope the increase in his medication does what it’s supposed to do.
There has been improvements, fortunately! And, yes, Andy likes Holly a lot, which helps when it comes to his being a good boy there.
I am glad the vet was able to accommodate you and Andy ahead of schedule, Doug. That is a good vet. I am glad to hear the eye pressure is down.
We are living in interesting times, for sure.
The eye pressure business was especially encouraging since it went from high to high normal.
It looks like going to the vet is not so bad for Andy. I hope he stays well.
Andy does a good job at being tract
Andy is a good patient!
I certainly understand your concerns regarding the chaos in Washington. Both of you hang in there.

Sounds like a good visit except maybe for the carrier part! Does Andy sing the song of his people on the way like my cats do?
Andy may purr a little to confort himself, but he generally doesn’t fuss outlook. His late brother was a complainer, though.
I had a brother like that too! 🙂
It’s a blessing.
Such sensible considerations – unfortunately
It exhausts me, Derrick. So much for a relaxing retirement!
