23Jul25: Andy’s day at the veterinarian’s, part 2…

Poor Andy!
He needed a little reassurance.
“Yer doing fine, Andy! Don’t fret!”
Dr. Olejnik arrived to listen to Andy’s heart.
Out of his carrier, his anxiety level high, Andy is a prime patient for blood pressure checks and listening to his heart! LOL!
Oh well.
It goes well.
Dr. Olejnik mentions she hears a bird tweeting while listening to Andy’s heart! It’s Andy’s soft purring, the air passing over his “purr motor” she hears.
Dr. Olejnik tells me Andy’s heart sounds better this time, that the murmur is better. We discuss his medication and how she is pleased he’s putting on weight since six months ago. He actually gained six tenths of a pound! I mentioned I’d switched from prescription to hairball formula kitty wet food and how he likes the change.

=(^+^)=

Part 3 tomorrow is Dr. Olejnik taking Andy out of the carrier. Even two professionals Andy knows, Destiny and Dr. Olejnik, can have a time of it when Andy is of a mind.

    • Yes! The weight loss particularly worried me. So the way he’s gained weight in the last year is encouraging.

    • It is, GP! I was especially concerned about his weight going down. When it turned out to be .7 pound more yhan last time, I was especially pleased!

    • Andy always acts a bit frightened. When the opportunity arises, he always hops back into his carrier to hide!
