11Sep25: Wednesdays, Andy gets lots of excitement!

It’s Wednesday!
Andy is excited because Bret and Doug are both here.
He hurries over…
…for Doug to boop his nose.
Bret’s next.
Andy stops by.
Sniff!
The tail! The tail!
Well, maybe touching the tail was too much.
After scratching to reassert his primacy in this household…
P…he returns to the guys for more hands on kitty pleasing!
Yeah! The chin! The chin!
A light snack.
What? What? Andy’s horn are up!
Andy hears something of profound interest.
Yes, something of profound interest!
Andy runs to the front door. Maybe the profoundly interesting thing’s outside there!

=(^+^)=

Bret and I had banana chocolate chip muffins for today’s baked goods. Yum!

My blog lost five people in the last few weeks. It got up to 2700 followers for a high, then dropped to 2695.

While I doubt the number of followers who read this daily or occasionally is that high – the stats feature usually shows circa 50 reads daily or fewer- I do appreciate those of you who do come around! I especially appreciate those of you who have time to comment…and do!

At age 14, Andy may be around for a few more years. I hope so. He seems to be in exceptional health for a senior cat, something I can’t say for myself. One way or another, I will try to keep posting as long as either of us is around. I hope you loyal readers find something of interest to keep you from being a dropout, too.

Andy’s watching….

  1. I think new subscribers drop off more often than those who’ve been around for a while. I think they try us for a week and maybe find something they like better. The ones who stick around tend to stay.

  2. I wouldn’t worry about the loss of five followers, Doug. One appalling thing about WordPress is the number of users who will subscribe to your blog or bomb it with “likes” in order to get you to follow them or at least look at their posts and leave a like. I’ve seen my follower rate drop as I don’t update, but also because I’m a lot more skeptical of all those likes and follows from people I have never seen before on WP. Anyway, I hope you and Andy continue to post your adventures here! I worry when you don’t show up in my feed, and wonder sometimes if I should “tap on your door” to see if you’re okay. (I suppose I could use another visit to Nebraska, but that would be presumptuous of me to actually bang on your door and scream “Are you okay?” Your neighbors would think I was nuts.) Take care, the both of you!

    • You’d be welcome as l9ng as you didn’t interrupt Andy and my naps! LOL! I try to schedule posts to go out at 12:03 pm, but sometimes don’t get my post done in time foe that. That’s probably the times it doesn’t show in t or feed.

      Doug Thomas
