It beats me. He has three really nice kitty trees spread through the apartment, a couple kitty loungers, and the recliner that all provide more comfortable surfaces for rest, two bathroom wash basins, the top of the stacked carriers, two beds, and carpeted floors for a bit nicer resting, so he choses the lapboard!
Such a cutie.
