Shannon opened the box to find out what the instructions said about tools needed to assemble the new television stand. Andy made use of her absence at the tool drawer to snoop and explore the box.

La la la! An intermission!

Ever handy, Andy watches Shannon’s progress in the assembly.

Oops! Andy got into the plastic and that had to be taken away from him!

Never mind. The old television stand looked promising for roosting and dealing with important kitty business!

Kathy talks with Andy, noting the new stand is about to be placed where he is!

Andy tries out the bottom shelf of the new stand while I take his photo…see me on the television as a reflection! (Too bad, kitty boy! That shelf will have a new purpose shortly!)
I love the photo of Mr Andy supervising the assembly process.
His efforts were well received. Not!!!
LOL
But it’s the perfect size for a nap. 🙂
It is exactly “Andy-sized”! I found it as soon as the stand was in place.
Now that is one impressive project manager meow! Love your blog here Andy and beautiful family! <3
Andy is a very competent project manager! Thank you! I am proud of my family and feel blessed to be part of it all my life.
Aww, look at Andy overseeing the work!
He did a pretty decent job of it, too, not getting too much in the way!
Very nice.. Good morning Andy.
I’ll pass the greetings on to Andy! He likes to be acknowledged.
Good job snoopervising Andy.
He did a decent job of it, too!
Congratulations on the new Stand.
I needed it since the old one was too narrow for the television.
Look at all the wires, how fun! A simple job is never simple is it, Doug?
Never simple! Once the unneeded cable box and accessories were sorted out, the wire situation got more manageable. I’ve gone straight Wi-Fi, which involves much fewer things.
I use WiFi every day at home. Works great !
Me, too! I like not having all the wires and it helps when things like printers need to be put somewhere a cable would be prohibitive.
My printer is in the master bedroom and works great via WiFi. My iPhone can send to the printer too, very nice. I Despise all the wires too, Doug. 🤙🏻
Same here!
If it’s new, it must be for Andy, right!? So much fun to see him check out everything!
He seems to think so. LOL! The old one’s by one of his litter boxes so he has the whole stand to himself now.
The bottom shelf looks like a nice kitty hide-away! 🙂
It definitely seems so! The new stand was barely in place when he walked over to it, opened the hidey hole, then put himself in. He uses it regularly now. Fortunately, for me, FI didn’t need that one for my stuff, unless you think of Andy as property or a thing. LOL!
I think Andy owns the bottom shelf now. 🙂
You know it! Initially, he tried to take over the bigger section next to it but the little “box” suits him better.
Great work for Andy! Cats love this kind of activities and also trying to find a new place or a new game things… I loved all this activities’photographs, how nice your family, Blessing and Happiness to you all, Thank you, Love, nia
It’s been a wonderfully fulfilling and pleasant visit, nia, and I told my sister they should plan on doing this regularly.
It’s good that Andy uses both the old and new stand for enjoyment.
I agree! I had a different plan for it but the one my niece found for it proves to be more useful.
It’s wonderful that she did that for you.
You know it! The box was extra heavy and sat around, in the way, for months because I didn’t feel I could safely move it. as for assembly, I am not thrilled to assemble any furniture again so put it off.
How old is Andy now?
Andy is 12 but will be 13 on July 1st of this year. I’ve had him since he was two months and a few days old. It’s unreal, GP, that so much time has passed. As you know, Dougy was only 9 when he died. It’s hard to realize he’s been gone as long as he’s been gone.
How exciting
Andy had a very busy day that day, thanks to all the activity and changes! He handled it surprisingly well.
What a cool thing for Shannon to do for her Uncle Doug! Even with Andy supervising and making sure everyone realizes it’s his TV stand they’re working on! (Sunny also used to sit right on the piece I was working on when I was assembling something. I have a black shelf that still has yellow cat hair stuck in the bolts.) That’s also a very cool TV stand. I hope you and Andy enjoy using it to watch vintage art house films on the screen!
Actually, Andy decided one of the cubicles with a door was a Cat Cave and regularly spends a nap time or “watch the humans” time inside it!
