I noticed Andy pawing away at an envelope that fell on the floor.
It wasn’t obvious what the attraction was.
He’d bite at the corner, lift it up with his teeth, then, finally got it flipped over.
The question answered: He was trying to get at the window, which I realized he intended to claw out, chew, and swallow!
I took the envelope away from the little rascal and put it where he couldn’t get to it.
A meow mail carriers job never ends! <3
He was trying to open my mail, a Federal offense…. lol!
Plastic seems to attract cats for some unknown reason. And carpet fiber, too!
Spot-on, Lavinia, my much missed Cyril loved them both, not to mention his head and nose butting sessions when we were settled. Haha! Cheers.
I am sorry you have lost your dear Cyril, Inchie, but glad you still hold him dear and have all those memories.
Thanks, Lavinia. Terrible in these flats, we are not allowed pets! Do you know, I still half expect him to jump on chest when I lay down. Gawd we miss them. Cheers. X
This one was a new one for me. I try to anticipate his interests and keep those harmful ones out of reach. As many cats as lived with you, Lavinia, I know you know the Battle cats put in when they want something! Doug
He eats the windows from envelopes?
This was a first. Mt m as il isn’t on the floor as a rule, but this envelope slipped off the counter. Andy surprised me.

Yep, Sometimes my plastic trash bags have holes in them thanks to Tara.
Andy likes to lick them. I discourage easy access to them for his safety, too.

I’ve read there’s something in plastic that makes kitties want to chew it. Ours will chomp away at it. Andy seems fiercely determined to get ahold of that stuff!
I’ve read about that too. Andy licks them, but small pieces he tries to eat. I have to watch him closely on these things.
