22Aug24: “Yes, master!”

Andy wanted me to follow him. He whined and pat my arm with urgency!

I beat him to the kitchen area, thinking it must be something he wanted there….

“What is it, Andrew? You want to check the cabinets for mousies…again!? No?”

“You didn’t finish your wet kitty food and your water is topped off and flowing, so that can’t be that.”

“Plenty of ‘nip’s out on the table. Not that”

I decided his problem was that he was tired and fussy. After his urgency to get me to follow him, there was no reason I could discern other than somebody’s kitty boy is really manipulative and very, very spoiled! But he’s my kitty boy, and I love his floofy self.

=(^+^)=

It’s been a hot week again. Just walking from the handicap parking spot to the hospital main door, a relatively short walk, I was sweating like a stevadore! Of course, stepping out of an air-conditioned car into Summer heat, then back into an air-conditioned hospital lobby, it was bound to happen!

(Not to worry! I was there for the catscan ordered by my pulmonologist who wanted it done so he has a baseline look at my lungs now that I’m his new patient. I have a new pulmonologist because my old one retired. People with my medical issues typically have several specialists monitoring and treating them as needed. I currently am in remission, so my routine is occasional blood tests and checkups. Of course,  because of kidney issues, I have dialysis three times a week.)

  1. Sometimes kitties aren’t sure what they want, maybe just company from their humans. Our kitties are like that from time to time. Not hungry, not tired, don’t want to play – just want acknowledgement of some sort for some reason. Sometimes the two females, Nod and Wynken, want to be brushed. They are fond of brushing, Silkie is not, but he is slowly getting used to it. He gives them a quizzical look as much as to say ” How can you like that????”

Glad the CT scan went well and all is being monitored properly, Doug. You and Andy are precious to your readership!

    • Even our kitties appreciate acknowledgement! That’s for sure. Andy probably would be unhappy if I got him a companion since he us a quiet, loner-like kitty, yet he just stopped by, wanting petting at the risk of me picking him up!

I do appreciate all of you reading and commenting on my blog. I need to toughen up, set aside my druthers, and finally set up my new laptop so I can properly follow those blogs I enjoy more easily than on my smartphone!

      Doug
