09Oct24: Andy sees the veterinarian..

My stoic little kitty!

Andy’s a wee bit restless now, so I begin massaging his arm, a happy thing for Andy!

I know: he doesn’t look happy!

I know he needs more calming now.

Aw! Rubbing the face!

And the neck!

Can’t get too much of that.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Finally, Andy’s “kitty sense” tells him…

…someone’s coming through that door.

Apprehension?

Dr. Sylvia Olejnik comes through that door and gently removes my kitty from the carrier.

Andy’s being surprisingly calm about being handled…

…by unfamiliar hands.

Dr. Olejnik is substituting for Andy’s regular veterinarian,  Dr. Ylander, who, says Dr. Olejnik, is on vacation.

She’s brand new to the practice, and Andy and I are impressed with her competent handling of her patient!

Dr. Olejnik gently placed Andy back into his carrier after tests are done. During his visit this time, Andy had tests done for a variety of conditions specific to kitties his age and to his  medical history. Dr. Olejnik is giving me a call to let me know the results.

It required a little of this-and-that to keep Andy in the carrier, though he soon calms down for the ride home.
