Unfortunately for me, taking photos of the kitty hunt gave Andy just enough time to sneak out of the south bedroom into the living room. My strategic mistake: when hunting Andy, never leave room doors open!
=(^+^)=

This is a twice daily pain-in-the-butt process for me. Most times, he shows up where I can just reach down or over and have him in hand. I try to anticipate his escape route or routes, closing doors where necessary.
My bedroom door absolutely needs to be closed because it has too many perfect hiding spots that are inaccessible to me.

The bedroom featured in today’s blog has lots of good hiding spots, but I can herd him toward the door easily enough, where he traps himself if I remembered to close it first.
In the first photo, you can see most of an Osage orange walking stick leaned against the sofa, vertical, and on the left side of the photo.

When Andy is cornered, that walking stick placed on his neck is sufficient to keep him in place till I can pick him up.
