Post 520: a little morning drama

Andy trusted me too much, too long, and I easily snatched him right by the computer desk, just before he sneaked into his hidey hole. It took little effort today to give him his medicine, and he was a very good boy about it. Maybe the tuna flavor of the new batch of medicine made the difference!

That said, he still ran off to hide under the computer desk at the first chance after I gave him his medicine.

Andy hurried away from the scene. Medicated, he no longer wanted anything to do with weggieboy! Dougy hopped up[ on the settee for a better view.

Dougy wanted to get in on the excitement, you bet! He hopped up on the settee for a better view.

Dougy watches Andy for Andy's next move... from the comfort of the little plastic tub.

Andy prepares to hide, and Dougy watches for Andy’s next move.

Dougy took up watch at the back door. Andy went into seclusion, under the computer desk. Of course! That's his usual hidey hole!

What? Dougy looked at the camera long enough for me to take a soft-focus glamour shot! What a handsome boy he is! (Andy is,too, but that photo didn’t turn out.)

I did call this a “little morning drama”, right? What did you expect? A kitty replay of WAR AND PEACE? 😉

      • Yes, this is really a problem for photographs. I am not really happy with the pictures that I’ve made of our black Labrador. On some pics she looks grey, as if she had rolled in the dust (what she liked to do when she was young), on other pictures her body on the image is too dark, so one can distinguish nothing.

      • Andy and Dougy are just about the same darkness, but you can see the same effect you describe in your comment in the four photos in this post! It isn’t unusual to take photos or make videos where I have a black blob with orange eyes popping out on one end! LOL!

      • I haven’t tried much with camera settings since I have a pretty basic little Nikon point-and-shoot camera (Coolpix S100). There is just so much one can do with Photoshop when the image is poor, too. One of these days, I’ll have to see if I can improve things the way you suggest. I think I remember seeing where I could get that result with a backlighting setting.

    • I was happy to have a bit better light to take the photo, but I agree, that is a nice photo of my boy! He was “birding by ear” since there isn’t much they can see from that position unless they stand on the chair or planter and peer out the screen door.
