=(^+^)=
I initially closed both bedroom doors 24 hours a day, easily reducing Andy’s world to 60% of what he was used to.
That seemed cruel after a day or two, so I eased up. I decided to try letting him have access to these places most of the day.
Approximately an hour or so before Andy’s medication time, I start closing the bedroom doors.
When it’s medication time, it now is much easier catching Andy.
My success rate medicating him now approaches 100%, whereas before I frequently lost out to Andy hiding under beds or some place in the south bedroom that I never located.
It’s a good idea, even though it may seem mean sometimes.
My modified enforcement is less strict yet is working out, to Andy’s relief!
Good to hear there things are easier at medication time, Doug. The cats do get creative trying to outwit their humans!
Geez! And how!
Remind me, how many times do you have to medicate him? We used to have to do Catorze twice a day and, cruel though it sounds, our better efforts were when we grabbed him whilst he was asleep.
I was having to medicate him once a day for blood pressure, then twice a day for hyperthyroidism. Yes, catching them asleep is best!
When it’s medication time, they find a portal to another planet to hide.
LOL! I was beginning to wonder about that escape portal to another planet when I couldn’t find Andy in the south bedroom!
Well done
So far, it works!
Priceless shots of Andy today, Doug. Thanks
He was cooperative today
That’s Andy. Hehehe!
Ah, excellent strategy, Doug!
I hope it continues to work!
