Lavinia Ross of Samon Brook Farms emailed me to let me – and you through me – know that Wynken was unable to survive extensive efforts to save her from a nasal cancer. She will have memorial daffodils planted above her resting place in Lavinia’s practice of planting memorial flowers in her yard to friends, family, and pets.

I know Lavinia was a good kitty mom, caring for Wynken over a long and trying period. That Wynken ultimately was worn out from cancer and treatments, was put to rest, doesn’t make her passing any easier. Hugs and condolences to our friends Lavinia and Rick on the loss of this beautiful kitty. Her kitty sisters miss her, too, after a lifetime together.
Oh I am so sad at the loss of Wynken. It was so sweet of Doug to spread the word. I am sure Wynken got the best care possible and lots of love. She was such a beautiful cat.
She did get very extensive care over a long period.
This is a really lovely memorial to a beautiful cat. She had a good life and was well-loved and super cared-for!

Poor Wynken suffered through a long illness.
Thank you, Doug. She is at peace now and not in pain. Sister Blynken passed away from a heart attack 3 years ago. Nod is the last sister left. She has one housemate, Silkie, who came to us in 2021.
I am sorry to hear about Wynken. It’s been a tough year.
Thank you, Greg. I know you are missing Zeke and Scooby.

Another kitty back in it’s Father’s arms where it no longer suffers. Prayers for it’s human and fur sibling families.
Thank you, CatsAndCoffee.
What a beautiful family Wynken has
Thank you, Crystal.
Any time a beloved kitty is lost, even if it’s one we never met, we feel sorrow for all who loved them, because we have lost so many we have loved too. Fly free, Wynken – off on your next adventure free and well.
Thank you, mcmneil1.

Wynken was a beautiful member of their family and the Salmon Brook posts.
[Perhaps Dougie is now teaching her the ropes.]
Thank you, GP. Yes, she is probably visiting Dougie and they are getting into trouble somewhere. 🙂
That’s what cats do! 👍😊

So sorry to read this painful news about Wynken. Lavinia is a dear friend and I know this must be very hard for her. I hope she and Rick can find some comfort in the beautiful and warm memories of sweet Wynken and cherish those memories deep in their hearts.
Sending Lavinia and Rick hugs and much love. You’re in my thoughts and prayers, my dear friends.
Thank you, dear Herman. We have many memories of Wynken, and all the kitties. It is so hard to lose one. You are in our thoughts and prayers, too.
Her regular vet sent white roses and chrysanthemums which arrived today.
It’s nice to see that people around you like Wynken’s vet support you. ❤️
