25Nov25: the sun goes down early this time of year….

When the sun sets…
…Andy…
…should…
…become…
…that crepuscular…
…hunter…
…that cats – um! -…
…he awakes!
I turned the photo a quarter turn to make Andy into a scary carnivore. That’s a pillow in the upper right-hand of the photo. Scary, eh?

Andy had a busy afternoon, so he needs this catnap. He’ll be very busy later tonight!

=(^+^)=

Kitty cat on duty now: Andy’s sharpening his claws. He has an important kitty job to do!
Ready to go! A moment later, he was off on his mission. Good kitty!
Andy makes it official: no mousies! He can take another catnap now.

  1. I detest this time of year! I come home from running errands in the morning, sit down to read the mail (e- as well as traditional paper) and eat a late lunch, look up at the window, and it’s nighttime outside! I suppose for a professional napper like Andy, the weather and early dark are perfect for snoozing, but going to bed at 7 pm. feels like I’ve reverted to the second grade. I don’t want to rush the winter, which I think Nature needs to regenerate, but I’d like a skooch more sun at 6 o’clock.

    • Me, too! I set on clock on 24 hour time so I can be sure it’s 6 pm or 6 am. Another clock. Helpfully states it’s evening or morning (or part of the day, likec late morning, etc.) but is set for 12 hour readings. Between then, I don’t panic like I used to thinking it was am instead of pm.

  2. Dutiful Andy! This time of year at dusk my crepuscular hunters stick their heads up a moment, see that their sunspots are gone, change position, and go right back off to Dreamland.
