Andy managed to hop on his light stand when Dougy wasn’t on his ottoman. As long as they are facing opposite directions, Dougy tolerates his brother being this close to his ottoman.
Sleepy kitty boys!
=(^+^)=
Once again, I accidentally deleted a comment while replying to it. It happens really fast. Drives me nuts! I think it was from Amy and it was about there being a place to buy Andy and Dougy themed gifts, which my text suggested were available at the end of the “tour” of Andy in a fantasy gift shop. Of course, there is none!
They have really thick fur ? This does not seem bother them .

They do! And they are very soft to the touch.
does Andy beat up on Dougy? Is he the alpha?
It goes back and forth. I think Dougy’s playing the alpha male now, but two weeks ago, Andy was the one with mouths full of cat fur! I think they are going through a transition, an adjustment to determine which kitty boy is in charge.
alpha sharing…..how polite!
Well, Persians tend to be sweet-natured cats, even when they are mean!
They sleep together; how cute!
When I’m in the recliner, they both oftentimes sleep on it with me. (Other times, they are chasing each other for various kitty faux pas.
You took care of them so good, that’s why they love you. 😀
I hope so!
Oh, sweet moods eh? Kali is usually in a sweet mood but Shoko takes after me and is not in a sweet mood right away in the morning…give her time to herself and she is rarin’ to go. During the night if I roll around too much….she will hit me, without claws. However, if I am not well, she seems to know the difference and will sit with me….sometimes giving me her YEOW banana. Then she proceeds to stare at me! Someone said cats don’t like direct eye contact. Then why does Shoko stare at me…its confusing.
Jean
I know that is so about cats, yet they can be rude and stare at you under certain circumstances. Andy does it when he expects me to make a move toward putting out the wet kitty food. Dougy generally avoids staring at me.
They do seem to sense when you are well or not, for sure! When I had a WG flare in November 2012 – January 2013, they would do vigils on my bed, watching and cuddling with me, but not bugging me to get up.
When you accidentally delete a comment (happens to everybody!), you can go to your Reader and “unspam” it, It will then show up in your “pending” comments, and you will be able to reply.
So I’ve been told. I apparently am too dense to follow instructions here because I’ve never found a place to undelete comments.
Love the pictures of the boys, Doug! Andy and Dougy have their system for space sharing. 🙂
Deleted comments end up in Trash, or Spam if they once accidentally hits Spam, at least on the control panel on the version of WP that I use.
I think I finally found the place people’ve told me exists. Loading Comments from My Site instead of from the bell icon, I found the spammed ones, including all of the actual spam.
Once you go into Dashboard, scroll down to Comments, click on it, and see what you have in Spam, Accidentally deleted comments will show in Spam. Under each Spam comment, there will be an option Unspam or Undelete.
I finally got there, and, typical of WordPress, you have to flip through several portals to get to the place you hope to be. Spamming a comment in the pull ups under the bell icon is so stinking easy compared with undoing the damage. The Undo function appears so fast only plain luck (never!) will let you undo the spam designation in that part of WP.
It took me several months to figure it out, so I know how you feel, and I am no computer whiz! I am glad you were able to get it!
My spam messages (three pages full) have been deleted. I’m glad your instructions (and recommendations) worked for this task. It isn’t intuitive (or wasn’t for me) so I truly appreciate your help, Dolly!
Dear Doug, nothing is intuitive for me as well, but sometimes, as a curious cat, I start pressing various buttons, just to see what’s hiding behind. Lo and behold, occasionally I discover something useful. I am happy it has proven useful to you!
Thanks! It worked and I found it interesting to see what the WP spammed out of the Comments without me being aware of it!
My pleasure, glad to be of help! You also need to trash the genuine spam ASAP because some of that stuff carries viruses.
I thought it was wiped out automatically, but the number of spam messages there shows how wrong I was. Good advice, Dolly! I’m taking care of it now!
Doug, you also have to empty your Trash file, once you dump your Spam messages there! That’s very important! Nothing is done automatically.
Yes, I did that, too. There were only two items in it, so that went fast.
If you had three pages full of Spam, once you cleared them, they were supposed to go into Trash. How could you have only two items in Trash?
Both indicate spam or trash is cleared and both are, indeed, empty.
I am very glad to hear that!
Me, too. It’s a pain in the butt as it is, and if all it did was moved it from one file to another, necessitating deleting it a second time, it would be even less user-friendly than it already is.
Yeeeech ! That’s close ! I hope they are in mellow moods when they wake up !
I have had comments vanish when replying to them, and I am sure I did not delete them, which is even more infuriating.
Both kitty boys wake up in sweet moods. As for the comments, people tell me how to unspam them, but I must have a mental block, a brain tumor, or a mild intelligence deficiency because I can never find the spot they mention. I click on the bell icon at the up right hand of the page to bring up comments highlighted there. I know if I bring them up from the email notification., they show up in a different format that does have an easy way to unspam them. On the other hand, the spam option is harder to accidentally hit there.
I have the same problems. Spam is smarter than me.
I retraced my steps using koolkosherkitchen’s directions, and finally got to the spot I needed to be to correct the spam. Once you correct it, you have to go to where it posts on the blog post to respond to it, but at least you recovered a comment someone took the time to leave, something I take very seriously! (And appreciate more than I can say….)
Incidentally, I highly recommend stopping by koolkosherkitchen! She posts incredibly tasty looking recipes, and, since she keeps a kosher kitchen, you learn so helpful substitutes for ingredients that, kosher kitchen or not, can be handy in any kitchen if you don’t happen to have what you need on hand.
https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2017/11/27/royal-wedding-carrot-and-banana-2/ …for one example of the delicious recipes you find on Dolly’s blog!
Thanks for all that .
I hope it works for you as well as it did for me. I didn’t get it right the first time or two people told me where to find the missing comments, but Dolly’s (koolkosherkitchen) instructions were clear and took me directly to the missing spammed comments.
Thanks I will try it some time.
