“What’s up, Doug?” Andy demands to know.
Before I brought the kitten you and your late brother, Dougy, home, Andy, I’d never heard about smoke Persians. Now, when your hair grows out, I get to see just what a pretty thing a smoke Persian kitty is!
[Andy nodded in approval of my realization.]
I guess that’s how we’re different, ’cause Mom says my furs are “mostly a matt charcoal color.” I don’t have the smokiness that Andy has. I have some random white hairs, and if I get lots of sun on my tummy the tummy fur kind of turns a dark brownish color.
Andy has some reddishness that strong sunlight brings out. His mother was a brownish-reddish tabby-marked Persian kitty, and that heritage appears in a shadow image in Andy’s looks, too, while I still think of him as a black cat!
Such a handsome boy. And his brother was too.
How true! He sends you his “Meows”!
Beautiful coloured fur Andy. It would be hard to manage with a lick and a promise so the groomer will help you in June.
Shoko
His neck won’t stretch enough to pull out some lengths of hair.
Beautiful furs indeed, Andy! No wonder he’s proud!
I almost hesitate to have him groomed when he gets top this stage, but, at this stage, Persians have difficulty managing their fur without help. Andy hates being brushed, so there is a problem of mats in his fur. So far, he hasn’t had mats, and it’s the middle of June till his next session with the groomer. I hope he makes it till then without mats!
That smoke coloring is beautiful, Doug! Andy is very handsome, as was the late Dougy cat.
Yes, such a pretty gradation in colors. In many, the colors are more pronounced and less pretty to my way of thinking.
He has an amazingly beautiful color in his fur.
I think so, too, obviously! I think his coloration is much more subtle than many smoke Persians, and I prefer his look more than those more black and white ones. Here’s a link to photos of the smoke Persian kitties so you can see what I mean. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=smoke+persian+cat&form=HDRSC2&first=1&tsc=ImageBasicHover
Thank you for the links.
You’re welcome!
Not exactly humble but still gorgeous, aren’t you, Mr Andy?
He knows what he is, and he does flaunt it!
He has the right.
