While Andy caught up on international news…

Poor Andy, missed out on the fun!
Thank you for the link, Doug. On your photo, it looked like a Palmetto bug, or, rather, a female Palmetto bug who, according to Floridian urban legend, flies and bites, and I am violently allergic to its bite. Then I read and realized that it is a hunter bug, rather than a harmless lady Palmetto. My first encounter with this critter landed me in the ER.
How awful! I’m glad you are ok after that!
I certainly am, and I take every allergy-caused visit to ER positively – I discover a new allergen to watch for.
Ouch! I don’t have a great deal of them to deal with, but the worst one is the allergy to smoke. Cigarette smoke is terrible but the western forest fire smoke that passes through Nebraska this time of year is worse than pollen!
That’s terrible! Does this smoke seep through windows and doors?
Yes.
Ouch! So what do you do to protect yourself?
Pay attention to Andy’s moods….
Thats a BIG bug Doug! Andy will never forgive you!
I won’t either, now that it is known to pose some danger.
I didn’t realize they had a bite like a Bee sting? Did you put it outside?
It flew off before I could get it, and I’ve no idea if it’s still alive and around.
I wonder If Andy may still encounter it then? Netter tell him to avoid it.
He’s encountered one, perhaps the same one, earlier. He patted it and it flew off.
That is an impressive hunter bug, I sympathize with Andy at missing such a memorable event. Cats retain memories of such encounters with considerable enthusiasm. 🙂
That’s a fact, Bill. Just about daily, Andy comes into the front room where he looks up at the walls and ceilings where he’s seen bugs before.
Give it the crunch!
I think it is a good idea!
CRUNCH! 😂
Read about the bug. Glad they aren’t around here. Not a bug to play with!
No. I’ve seen them before but only identified it when making this post. Ugh!
Oh my, quite a bug! Maybe just as well Andy missed it!
I’d say so!
PSU’s description of the bug is interesting. A good one to have around during a bedbug or carpet beetle infestation, but look out otherwise! Not one a kitty or human would want to mishandle. 🙂
No. I was surprised to learn about it.
Oh my, be careful, that bug sounds really nasty!
Yeah! I won’t leave it alone if I see it again – squish!
Thank you for the link.
It was interesting reading….
I hope those things don’t fly. Did you save it or kill it?
They do fly!
