“Oh, come on, Andrew! You know you like that!”

We slept in today.

Now, Andy wants some wake-up Greenies, which must wait till I make a cup of coffee.

There it is. When it comes into focus, I shall drink it down. In the meantime, Andy’s headed off for a nap. This is going to be a messed up day!

Andy decided he wanted the ribbon ball first thing this morning.

~ Lick! Lick! Lick! ~
=(^+^)=
Is there starch or something Andy tastes on the ribbon or does it just feel nice on his tongue? I’ve no idea what the attraction is.

I waved the Coban in front of Andy’

It isn’t much but…

…it caught Andy’s attention!

RAWR!!!

Let me take your photo, Andy!

~ No eyes… ~

~ Would’ve been better with open eyes… ~

~ Eyes fine but looking away… ~

~Just about right…~

Looks like this will be “it”.
=(^+^)=
Most of the 13,000+ photos on my smartphone are of Andy. Most of them have these little flaws that don’t make much difference for the most part, yet there’s always the hope that one photo, one time, will be the photo for all times of my kitty boy!
=(^+^)=

I posted this photo of Andy on 1 August 2020. It is much cuter than anything I posted above! A comment made by http://tailsaroundtheranch.blog/ a new follow who’d gone that far back familiarizing themselves with this blog, lead me back as well to discover this photo! Thanks “Tails”!

Andy was a mere two-years old when he was issuing the equivalent of “Kitty Indictments” against me for forgetting “Kitty Treat Time“… and there is no presumption of innocence in “Kitty Law“!
=(^+^)=
Facebook Memories provided this image recently. It’s interesting to see what Andy was like eleven years ago!

It works with dogs…

…no hostilities so my hand reaches in to “scritch” my kitty.

Dang it, Andy! Don’t kill my hand when it comes in peace!

Oh! I interrupted you when you were watching your television program!
=(^+^)=
Andy is all for it when we first wake up and greet each other: “‘Scritch’ me up and down my spine, Douglas! And rub that spot between my eyes and one my nose, too!” Yeah.
We play the “Mousies in the Kitchen Cabinets” game for the first time of the day, followed by our breakfasts.
I turn on the television, Andy finishes pooping or whatever he does after eating…or maybe it’s before – I give him some privacy – then he hops on the ottoman for the first Greenies of the day.
Greenies eaten, he hops on the end table to take his first kitty bath of the day.
That done, he turns into “Mean Kitty who says ‘NOT NOW!'”
Whew! Don’t stick your hand into that trap! (I always do….)

Andy is a slow waker. It takes him a bit of time to join the living, but this is a good time for me to rub his head and ears, perhaps go up and down his back massaging it. I wake up the same way so I know not to try to rush him along, just make all communication physical. Yes, rubbing that spot between his eyes and on his nose goes over well, too! He purrs and drools when I do that.

A daunting chore ahead!

~ Nom! Nom! ~

Andy got through most of the Greenies.

“What next, my kitty?”

Of course!

Andy is upset that I’m ignoring him so I can finish my blog post.

“Hey!”

Waiting…

“Hey! Hey! Hey!”
=(^+^)=
It is obvious I can’t continue! It turns out it is “Kitty Food Time” and Andy, who has snacked on kitty treats all morning, is ready for his chicken pâté wet food.
