Andy stopped by. I wanted to pet him. Andy has a different priority.

His eye is on the target and he ignores the hand.

A head rub, too!

Andy resists it all, even an attempt to rub his nose.

Priorities are priorities after all.

The only way to get a job done. 🙂
It seems so!

Andy must have his Greenies first! 🙂
I’m trying to limit them. He expects some every time he stops by to visit me. That’s suspiciously often….
Doug
Cats will habituate to treats. 🙂
Having different priorities at the time doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate your attention.

Hmm, at first I wondered if that’s a feline trait meant to ensure hunting success … Once food is sensed, the feline senses are focused and no long react to any distractions. Then I thought, well, I’ve had cats push against my hand as I petted them, and start to purr, while keeping their muzzles sunk into food bowls … Each cat does have his or her own ways, though …
no longer react
Andy holds off the treats till I stop petting him. You can tell he isn’t happy with the wait!
Doug
