In many ways, Andy and I are like an old married couple.
=(-+-)=
“Sick! Not funny, Doug.”
=(×+×)=
I see ‘nip in Andy’s fur. I guess the toe joke was a bit too stressful.

…then fell asleep on top of the leftover Greenies.
It was a short snooze!

Today, it’s all about watching Doug but shrugging off any efforts to love him.
When I reached toward Andy…
…he headed out.
Cats!

Later, he returned to let me know he was very needy today: “More, Douglas! More!”

I bought gas yesterday at $3.579 a gallon. It costs 10 cents a gallon more if you use a credit card. I use a credit card because it saves a lot of hassles with a walker and getting in and out of my car with oxygen. It seems the station’s policy for using a credit card costs disabled persons yet another discrimatory penalty in their lives.
Andy says he’s not cooperating. If I can’t do my blog in a timely fashion, blurred kitty and reused photos is my fate.

Andy had a nothing happening day. Sleep was about it.
And posing.

On the other hand, neighbor Bret came over with a gift of Kona coffee and cinnamon-macadamia nut rolls. Both were very good! Hard to believe that a small town in Nebraska, Oshkosh, is where Mark Ferrari has a shop where family-grown Kona coffee beans are roasted and sold, but that’s a fact. Hawaii is closer than one can imagine!
P.S. It is all you’ve heard about it. Kona-grown coffee is easy on the stomach and can be prepared strong as one likes.

Dialysis does that for me, but kittyhood demands Andy sleep most of the day.
“Good morning/evening…whichever it is, Andrew!”
Andy likes a Royal Canin dry food that’s made to be easy for Persian kitties to eat. A new bag of it was delivered yesterday, and he’s already had some of it.
His hyperthyroidism medication arrived by mail, too, but I didn’t bring it in until after dark. I need to take him out to the clinic to learn how to apply it correctly. Of course, I’ll pay for his visit last week, then, and for the medication that just arrived.

If it weren’t for one clock set for military time, there’d be some days I woke up thinking it was morning when it actually was night.

Andy got a new tub of Greenies. Fresh and yummy, he kept coming back for more!
He came back four times, each time after a drink of water.
After rejecting the last of the previous tub, I brought out the fresh one to see if he still liked his Greenies.
The answer is yes.
I, during this treats frenzied, took my blood pressure many times over an hour and a half for my dialysis doctor and nurse practitioner.
It was a pretty good trick since Andy demanded more and more Greenies!

And Andy loves to nap on the recliner footrest! The table is where kitty grass and catnip wait for the resident kitty to stop by.Andy finds the blue carrier perfect to use as a watching post or place to sleep or take cat baths. He doesn’t particularly like me holding him. It’s not his favorite place!Andy spends lots of time on this stool in the bathroom……since it is close to the table.Of course, the front door is there…
…for watching the scene outdoors. It is better than windows, Andy thinks, though windows are great for bird and bunny watching, too. Sometimes, a cat stops by.

I really want to rub my hand through his softness.
“Let me pet you, Andrew!”
“Not now, Doug!”
=(^+^)=
Andy can be so abrupt sometimes. If he were human and acted that way toward me, I’d be moody the rest of the day. Since he is a kitty, I just shrug it off and attribute it to perfectly normal cattitude!
=(^+^)=
Andy came back a bit later.
Yes…
…I get to do what I started to do.
So, when it was his idea, letting me pet him is a good one.
