04Mar25: Andy’s visit to see his doctor…

Andy was an easy catch this time as he was resting on top of the blue carrier. I just reached down and had him!
Dr. Olejnik came in first.
She felt his abdomen and let me know three other cats were there, that she would return as soon as they were cared for. Andy went with her because he was to get a blood sample taken for a look at how the hyperthyroidism medication was working.
Of course, when Holly came back with Andy, he was acting like he was happy to see her again.
You’d be a happy cat, too…
…having you back “scritched!”
Andy waited patiently after Holly left because he is a very good kitty!
After a time, though…
…he climbed back into.
…his carrier.
Andy was happy in the comfort of the carrier…
…but Dr. Olejnik needed to listen..
…to his heart to get a better sense of how mild or intense his heart murmur is. It is a soft sounding one, she noted.
Andy, of course, returned to the carrier after Dr. Olejnik and I talked a bit about what future care Andy might benefit from.
I thought about it while Andy rested on the examination table while I rubbed his head.
A full series of blood tests being done is one thing his doctor and I agreed to have done while we were there, and Andy had other things on his mind.
Thinking…
…it’s time…
…to return to the carrier of his own volition!
Not only did he take a nap, he was purring while he slept.
Destiny came in with a message that Dr. Olejnik was caring for an emergency patient. Destiny noted that Andy was a sweetie and that she liked him. She also handed me the blood work results. Andy is a little anemic, but his other variables are in the normal range. An echcardiogram is to be scheduled, and I will be notified of that date.
His blood tests results.

A bit longer than usual, but I know you want to know as much as I can tell you.
