30Apr25: Andy’s patience isn’t infinite!

He’s so sweet when he’s sleeping!
If he is sleeping, anyway….
…which is questionable here.
A close-up suggests sweetie pie is aware of me.
Can’t resist!
Oh no!
He’s attacking my hand!
Ouch!
Ok! Ok! I’ll leave you alone, Andrew!
Zzzzz….

Andy’s so sweet when he’s sleeping!

29Apr25: “Where’s that guy who feeds me?”

Andy was concerned.
(Nebraska 26 intersection with US 385. North to Alliance turn left!)
(US 385, headed north to Alliance from Scottsbluff.)
(Approaching the west end of Alliance.)
(Bottom of the  10th Street overpass, headed east! Almost home.)
(Yeah! Yeah!  Dang 10th and Box Butte stop signals.)
(6th and Flack, where the village sign suggests it is a quiet, happy place.)
(Sixth Street, with Lane 2 moments away on the right.)
(Lane 2! Can’t wait to see Andy!)
(No more yellow rose bush. I refuse to do anything outside to improve the flower beds by the apartment. Yard Nazis just follow orders, and I suspect the bush was a hassle to the yard moving crew. Tragic!)
(I’ve had this yard art since the 1990s. Amazingly, the yard Nazis leave it alone.)
(Just about parked, careen right and slap the handicap tag on my mirror!)
Yes, Andy greeted me at the door.
“FEED  ME!”

=(^+^)=

I had an appointment with my pulmonologist yesterday. It was a pleasant drive to and from Scottsbluff.

Dr. Patel was pleased with improvement in a significant WG/GPA marker in my blood. It indicates I am solidly in remission of that disease. My lungs are in great shape. I will have another visit with him in October.

28Apr26: both of us…

What do both Andy and I have in common today?
We both want to take a nap but not so early in the afternoon, it impacts on nighttime sleep.
Andy couldn’t wait

27April26: “Welcome home!”

It’s fun coming home!
Andy’s there…
…waiting to greet me!
He hints that feeding him would be fine…
…but he also invites me to pet him…
…and to boop his nose!

26Apr25: another day of rest…

Andy and I hope we’re finally “napped out.”

This exhausting week hasn’t been good for my social life.

Wednesdsy napping cost me a chance to enjoy a Greek specialties party at a local barbecue place, and Friday, I conked out about a half hour before my class of 1966 monthly luncheon. It was enchilada day, too!

I’ve officially declared that from after my next Monday appointment with my pulmonologist in Scottsbluff till my 16th of June appointment with my cardiologist is “No Damn Appointments Time!!!”

(How I keep track of the miserable things.)

Of course. I need a haircut, so I can handle that one in this period. It’s the out of town ones that wear me down.

Zzzzzz….

25Apr25: Andy prepares for a nap…

The bath begins.
Maybe this is a better place to clean up.
Lick!
Lick!
Maybe he’s done.
Nope!
I think he’s done now.
Yes! The nap can begin…
…if I stop looking at him and snapping photos.

24Apr25: quiet day at the place…

Andy and I had a quiet day at home.
Our friend Bret came over for rolls and coffee.
That’s Wednesday’s big event.
Between 7:00 and when we finish talking about mutual friends, movies, music… just about anything, we enjoy a quiet start to the day.
Andy saw Bret come in, and he hopped on the cat tree by my bedroom door.
Darn cat!
He has both Bret and me to rub up and down his back!
…and his head!
Andy is shameless!

23Apr25: falling behind…

I don’t know what you’re smiling about, SpongeBob SquarePants. You’re covered in cat hair, stuck in a corner on a cat recliner, and this cat blog can’t go forth until the cat shows up again. Yeah, and we are posting later than usual!
There you are!
“You’re not the boss of me, Doug! I come and go as I wish!”
Well, not arguing that point.
Zzzzz….

=(^×^)=

The Rapid City trip left me very tired, more than I realized. After dialysis yesterday, I had a light lunch, then fell asleep watching “Antiques Road Trip.”

When I woke up midway through a second episode I slept through, I gave up and went to bed to have a nap. Ten or so hours later… I woke up!

22Apr25: :Where were you all day?”

Andy was upset with me because I left the apartment early Monday morning.
Yes. I left for Rapid City at 5:30 am for an 8:30 car appointment. It’s a five hour round trip. After my car was given it annual maintenance and a recall fix, I left Rapid and got home, exhausted. It was a light lunch, then bed!
“Oh, boo hoo, Doug! Cry me a river!”

I knew Andy would understand.

21April25: Andy played with it earlier…really!

I brought out a fresh peacock feather that Andy battered around, bit, clawed at, and generally gave me the idea it’d make a cute blog post.
Presentation issue – eye down, not exciting.
This got lots of thrills earlier, with the clawing, biting, and batting at around when I drew it under the lapboard.
Andy likes “prey” that’s sneaking away, under things, behind things, into things. Hey! I’m trying to stir you into more action, kitty!
Well, staring from a different angle isn’t that much action.
Andy’s final response to the exciting peacock feather was disappointing to me. I tried hard to elongate the time we spent playing with it.

=(>+<)=

I know everyone who’s tried to take photos of pets – or children – can appreciate this post today! Ha!
