Post 532: Andy mocks authority update

Post 531 includes this photo. Maybe you noticed the message that showed up in the newspaper in the foreground:

"Cheese it! The cops!" Andy realizes I'm watching. Am I just taking photos or am I plotting to get close enough to catch him? Andy takes a hike under the table, a good strategy!

"Sinister"

“Sinister”

Not to worry, though. After the mayhem, Andy settled down. I think he may have been looking for the treats he did not get today because he wasn’t a good boy when it came to taking his medicine. No medicine, no kitty treats! He came over to the box by the computer to watch me. After patting me on the arm several times, I think he finally got the hint: No treats for bad kitties!

Andy makes another use of the box by the computer wastepaper basket. One of these days, I hope to toss it out, too. Cats and boxes...!

Everything but the tail (note the blur) at rest.

Andy, Andy, Andy! What am I to do with you?

    • No problem! Given the obscure places you and your husband travel to, the miracle is we ever have word from you! (I really enjoy your travel posts, but the food blog’s becoming a favorite of mine, too! It’s fun seeing “exotic” foods can be simple and tasty alternatives to more familiar foods.)

      • We’ve been in quite an obscure place lately. Wait until you see pictures from the Goroka Show in Papua New Guinea. Glad you’re enjoying the food blog. I’m busily collecting more recipes.

        • I hate to think what exotic ingredients you might need for PNG traditional food. I guess they are past the “US heir to oil millions thing”, but…. I look forward to your travel blogs on that country. I am very ignorant about the post colonial PBG!

  1. Aww geez Andy boy, ya got to give Doug a break and let him give you those meds. It is because he loves you and wants you to be around for a long time.
Takes two of us to catch Ali and hold her town, blow in her nose, and rub her throat to get those meds down twice a day, but we are doing it.
That Andy has such a sweet, adorable face.

    • Having met Andy and Dougy’s auntie and step sister (both Birmans), I can verify that cute face comes from his father’s side of the family. Dougy gets most of his facial characteristics from his mother’s side, so has a more classic Persian face. Anyway, as noted elsewhere to another of your comments, I did catch him this morning and he got medicated by about 2:35 AM. I’m glad I don’t have to go through what you do with ALi! Andy is a piece of cake compared with all you do for Ali.
