Dougy waits for the news. It is the perfect way to wake up in the morning!
“…!”

“If you can’t handle the news, Dougy, I suggest you stop watching it.”

I don’t think he likes that ugly orange man on TV
Not if he wants to live in this home! LOL!
or get another treat!!
LOL! You know me too well!
you take such good care of the boys & they love you very much for doing that…..even if it involves yucky medicine!
Speaking of which, it’s time for kitty medicine! Twice a day would be an ordeal if I hadn’t worked out a happy routine – hold Andy like a baby in the crook of my arm, speak softly to him, pet him, then wrap him in a blanket and give him his medicine! He gets kitty treats after. Though he still hates the medicine, he is, at least, calmer about it than he was in the beginning. It seemed necessary to come up with a less stressful way of giving him medicine since it is, after all blood pressure medication! Ha!
Is it drops? Do you need to put the drops directly into his mouth?
Yes, I swaddle him in a towel. He resists, but I hold his head in position, place the tip of the syringe into his mouth, and push the plunger. He generally gets all of the dose down, but sometimes he moves his head at the wrong time, and the medicine ends up pretty much where it lands. We (Andy and I) have the routine down pretty much these days and we rarely have problems getting the medicine into his mouth. He swallows it without protest once it’s in his mouth.)
His dose is 1,3ml. It’s more like a small drink than drops.
I’m sorry Doug,I forgot what ails Andy?
He has a heart murmur and high blood pressure. Of course, given Persian kitty problems with kidney issues in later life (they are seven now), high blood pressure can be a critical beginning to end term kidney failure. It is worth the money to care for it!
I’m sure your efforts have increased his longevity significantly! As we each age we all need care from time to time.
I hope so!
I am with Dougy. I’d love to see something else take over the news.
The US was in for endless investigations regardless of which tainted candidate won in 2016. Of course, Clinton, at least, had the experience and understanding of how governance of a world power is done, but I’m sure Benghazi hearings 10-infinity would have consumed the airwaves had she won. If not Benghazi, there would have been something as long as the Republicans had control of the House and Senate.
sad but true
I would love to get my paws on that book!! Even Canada has heard some news on the new book.
Dougy is offering his opinion of the news and we totally agree. You folk need a statesman and dignitary to represent the US. This Rump guy is not for you….no lasting respect for or from him.
Shoko and Jean
Alarming stuff. I agree with you.
Think you need to sit on the remote and change the channel! I can’t watch that!!!
I feel obligated to hear and read as many sources as possible. It is less than a month before I can send away for my absentee ballot, and I will vote once again with as much knowledge of issues and candidates as I can manage.
Such citizenship I applaud. I don’t care any more.
My late brother voted for Barry Goldwater, who, of course, didn’t win the election. That was the last time he voted. I live in a state where about the only way Democrats win, *it seems, is to call themselves Republicans. Ha! Regardless, I haven’t given up yet. I do vote for the person and to hell with the party.
I been voting since 18 years old or was it 21? Anyway look where we are at with all my years of voting! I should be disqualified permanently!
I haven’t given up yet.
dood….we total lee agreez….we due knot like de nooze any mor either ~~~~~~~ 🙂 ♥
I am numb but force myself to keep current since I do vote in every election.
I think Mr. Trump needs to visit the hair groomer that Dougy goes to. Tee hee hee.
I think it would help!
I cut the umbilical with “the news” several years ago, life is better. The state of this country is pathetic. Obstructionist Democrats, are you listening? And so much more…
The blame game and the belief the other fellow is the bad guy get in the way of the reality that all of us love America and are on the same team.
Too much “your guy did such-and-such” followed by “no, your guy did much worse and got away with it, though there is just my word for it…and that of a meme on Facebook” instead of everyone looking forward to what can be if each side gives in a little.
That’s my boy!! He has the same reaction (yawning) as I do to the news!! The media keeps grabbing at straws for something big to talk about, they need to ruffle feathers and cause problems or they’re not happy.
So I’m giving them a hint to their next “scoop”…..

I do think it is unnecessarily divisive. The endless repetition of the same crap doesn’t help, nor does the fact America (any country, really) is at its best when its people work together on the same team.
RIGHT YOU ARE!!
I don’t watch the television especially news!!!!! but sometimes I hear news from people and I try to understand what’s going on in the world… My cats like to watch football 🙂
Thank you for you all, you are great team and I love you, nia
Of course they do – lots of action and that ball zooming about!
that is the only option we have… the mama makes the same face like you after the news…;O)))
“It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.” Yep! Fortunately, Dougy, Andy, and I live alone, so our screams don’t alarm anyone! LOL!
Dougy has the right idea…LOL chuq
You know it, chuq~! We were listening to a piece on the new Woodward book. (It was the taped conversation between Trump and Woodward., a lie-fest for sure! )
